Mrs. Garber was den leader of Pack 13 Boy Scouts of America, was den leader of the year for the Arbuckle Council for 2005, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she taught Sunday school. She was a Teen Angel coordinator, worked with Meals-on-Wheels, was a member of St. Martha's Guild, a Master Gardener, and a member of Our Time Tanti Study Club. He was born in 1921, at Lodi, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, Ohio, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. As a member of the swim team, he excelled in diving and breast stroke competition and held the record for the latter at the University for many years. After receiving his bachelor's degree, he served as a fighter pilot with the Marine Air Force in the Pacific War zone in WW II where he was shot down in 1944. He later returned to duty during the Korean War where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross and retired as Lt. Col. After serving as executive pilot for several companies, he joined the original group of pilots for Federal Express. When he reached the age of ineligibility for commercial pilots, he remained with the company to train their new pilots. Upon retirement in 1987, he purchased a ranch in Ada, where he trained and raced quarterhorses. He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Norman Flickinger and Bertha Flickinger. David Sutton officiating. Assisting is the Rev. Farron Oliver. Mr. Chilcoat died May 19, 2006. He was born Aug. 7, 1925, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Charles Fred and Bessie Mae Chilcoat. Mr. Chilcoat lived in the Ada area for the majority of his life and attended Pickett and Vanoss Schools. After a short time in the military, he returned to Ada and worked as a mechanic at Spann Motor Company. He subsequently worked at Whittles Furniture and later at Service Chevrolet selling cars. He was a fireman for the Ada Fire Department, and a volunteer fireman for several years after retiring from active duty. Along with Red Norvill, in 1957 Mr. Chilcoat started the Norvill-Chilcoat Agency at 403 E Main in Ada. It later became the Wilkerson-Chilcoat Agency, which he owned until 2005. In 1960, he moved to Pickett and became a builder and developer in Ada and Pickett. He was also instrumental in the formation of Rural Water District 3. He built Village Inn motels in Ada and Seminole, and started Massey Ferguson dealership in Ada. He designed and built the original Pro-Walk horse walkers which are sold nationally. Mr. Chilcoat attended Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church. On May 10, 1947, he married Enola Eeds. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Enola Eeds Chilcoat, and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Janice Cox and her husband Paul of Stillwater, and Judy Wilcher and her husband Jerry of Ada; a granddaughter, Tiffany Dement and her husband, Adam; two great- grandchildren, Mercy and Joshua, of Stillwater; and several nieces and nephews. After retirement he became involved with the Ada Rambling Sam's. He also volunteered at the Carl Albert Indian Hospital Volunteer Booth. He married Nell Cox March 24, 1945.
