Mr. Wynn was a butcher, a member of Francis Church of Christ and had served in the Navy during World War II from Dec. 24, 1942, until Dec. 13, 1945, on fleet air base unit, CASU-12. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Melford Wynn, Pud Wynn and Vergil Wynn; and five sisters, Goldie Love, Edith Blaylock, Lillian Terrell, Genevieve Graham-Greer and Thelma Stephenson. Survivors include his wife, Ruth M. Wynn, of the home; a son, Wendell O.Wynn and wife L. He later married Jo Ann Endinger Wood Aug. 5, 1996, at Miami, Okla. Mr. Chandler was a truck driver for Eldridge Propane, Stratford, until his retirement. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II, receiving a Silver Star. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Dorothy Marie Nalley; and six brothers and sisters. He married Donna Bell Denney Aug. 15, 1953. Mr. Nolen retired from the railroad, was employed with Ressler Well Service, and was later employed as a maintenance supervisor with the Chickasaw Nation. He also served in the National Guard. He was born July 27, 1922, at Citra, Okla., to Ruben and Katie Moore Huffstutlar. He attended school at Allen. He married Helen Eubanks in 1945. She died Aug. 30, 2002. Mr. Huffstutlar was a caboose builder and senior train inspector for the Southern Pacific Railroad at Oakland, Calif., from 1946 until 1983, retiring after 37 years of service, at which time he moved back to Allen. Mr. Huffstutlar survived malaria while serving with the Navy Seabees in the Pacific Theater during World War II. A bulldozer he was driving ashore was blown up by a land mine during one of many South Pacific island invasions. On another occasion, he cleared the beach for General McArthur to wade ashore for the famous newsreel. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Huffstutlar; and two sisters, Altha Huffstutlar and Marie Reim. John Norvell, officiating. Mr. Foster died Sept. 8, 2006, at a nursing home in Bonham Texas. He was born March 26, 1933, to John Benjamin and Alma Lou Hubbard Foster in Byng, Okla. He was a U.S. Navy aviator and a gardener. He received his master's degree in reading and taught English, speech and drama for 28 years. He retired from the Gallup/McKinley County School System on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico. He was an active member in St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Ada. He is survived by one daughter, Alison Hayter and husband Bill, of Paris, three brothers, Wallace Foster, Lake Havasu City, Ariz., David Foster, Ada, Jack Foster, Farmington, N.M.; three sisters, Betty Dempsey and Jean Gorham, both of Ada, and Peggy Johnson, Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Allison Packard and Sarah See, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Mayhue died Sept. 12, 2006, at Sulphur Veterans Center. He was born Jan. 16, 1921, at Seminole, to Grover Cleveland and Bessie Moss Mayhue. He attended school at Horace Mann Elementary and graduated from Horace Mann High School where he and W. D. Little Jr. were the National Debate Champions in 1938. He attended East Central State College and graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law. Mr. Mayhue was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1949. He served in the U. S. Army as an Air Force flight instructor during World War II from 1941-1945. During his professional career, he was affiliated with Kerr, Lambert, Conn, and Roberts Law Firm from 1951-1963. Later, the firm Conn and Mayhue was comprised of Jack Conn, Aubrey Kerr, Ken Johnson, Burl Harris, and G. C. Mayhue. The firm eventually became Mayhue, Axton, and Mayhue Law Firm. His partners were his son, Charlie Mayhue and the late John Axton. He was active in the law firm until his election as District Judge in 1991. He married Mary Anne Dale. She died Feb. 23, 1967. He later married Mary Jean Bayless Wise March 1, 1968. Mr. Mayhue was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as deacon, elder and Sunday School teacher. He was president of the Ada Lions Club from 1950-1951, he was among the organizers of the Ada Industrial Development Corporation, the Sciences and Natural Resources Foundation and Pontotoc Industrial Development Authority. He served several terms as director of the Ada Chamber of Commerce and as president in 1958. In 1969, Mr. Mayhue was appointed by Congressman Tom Steed to serve on the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He was chairman of the Bond Election Committee for passage of bonds for Highway Right-of-Way for the by- pass system, building the agricultural building at the fairgrounds and the building occupied by General Tire at Ada Industrial Park. In the early 1960s he and other Adans were instrumental in obtaining funding for the Robert S. Kerr Environmental Research Labaoratory. He was the City Attorney from 1951-1958, president of the Cougar Football Booster Club from 1959-60, member of the American, Oklahoma and Pontotoc County Bar Associations and served in various capacities. He served as District Judge from 1991-1994. He was past chairman of the Board of Trustees of theValley View Hospital Authority and was a member for 27 years. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Donald Mayhue and Francis E. Mayhue; and two sisters, Cathryne Pauline Mayhue and Tennessee Ethel Mayhue Walker. She was born Feb. 4, 1934, to Albert "Cash" and Stella Mae Collier Perry. She grew up in the Homer-Oakman area, located east of Ada, graduated from Byng High School and earned a bachelor's and master's degree in elementary education from East Central University. Mrs. Ogee taught school at Gerty, later she taught in Nevada and finished her teaching career at Byng. After retiring from Byng School, she accepted a position as a teacher/principal at McCall's Chapel, a private school for the physically and mentally challenged. She once again retired from teaching. In 1992, she accepted the position of election secretary for the Chickasaw Nation, and developed an interest in tribal government. After serving in that position for one year she made the decision to seek office in the legislature and was serving in her 10th year as a Chickasaw Tribal Legislator. Mrs. Ogee helped establish the volunteer program at Carl Albert Indian Hospital. She served as chairperson of the county unit and co- chair at the district level for the Democratic Party. She also served as a delegate to the county, district, and state conventions many times, as well as on the state executive committee of the Democrat Party. She was chosen "The Outstanding Women" in the third congressional District of Oklahoma. She married Albion Ogee on Dec. 25, 1952. He was born Feb. 24, 1925, in Ada to Charles T. Bates Sr. and Docia Grififin Bates. He received a bachelor of science degree from Oklahoma State University, a master's degree in administration and education from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis., and post doctorate work at Cornell University in Ithiaca, N.Y. He was an honorary State Farmer of Kansas FFA chapter at Kansas State Convention in 1989 at Manhattan, Kan. He received a Distinguised Service Award, U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Fredonia, Kansas in 1955 for Top Man of the Year. Mr. Bates was the owner of farm and land in Oklahoma and Kansas for 18 years raising and showing purebred Aberdeen Angus cattle for 15 years. He served as County 4-H Agent in McPherson County, Kansas, from 1956 until 1960. And he served as State 4-H Specialist and Faculty member at Kansas State University with appointment of U.S. D. A. for 30 years from 1961-1991. Mr. Bates retired Dec. 1, 1991, and he and his wife moved to Ada. Mr. Bates was a member and ordained deacon at Oak Avenue Baptist Church, serving as coordinator of Lay Witness Renewal missions for 20 years in 35 local churches in Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Ireland. He served on the Sunday School Board of Southern Baptist Convention in Nashville, Tennessee for eight years. He married LaVerne R. Gaar June 20, 1948, in Ada. Survivors include his wife, LaVerne Bates, of the home; two sons, Dennis C. Bates, Boston, Massachusetts, and Byron T. Bates, Dallas, Texas; two brothers, W. Survivors include his wife, Velma Ruth, of the home; two sons, Bill Finley and wife Robin, Cedarville, Ark., and the Rev. Mike Finley and wife Corona, Sallisaw; a daughter, DeLayne Bingamon, Ada; a brother, Billy Merrill Finley, Perry; grandchildren, Rachel Scott and husband Joe, Sarah Whitehead, all of Ada, J. D. Finley and Michaela Finley, both of Cedarville, Ark. Bearers are Billy Box, Junior Arrington, Mack Summers, Shelton Curtis, George Myrick and Levi Orphan. Yahola, 68, Ada, are 10 a.m. Saturday at Central Church of Christ, Bud Ross and Floyd Kaiser officiating. Burial follows at Oakwood Cemetery, Wewoka. Mr. Yahola died Sept. 28, 2006, at his home. He was born March 5, 1938, at Wewoka, to Alonzo and Florence Price Yahola. He graduated from Cromwell High School in 1956 and moved to Ada from Cromwell. He attended the University of Oklahoma from 1957-1958 and was a CLEET Certified Security Guard. He served in the Army National Guard, receiving an honorable discharge in August, 1962. Mr. Yahola was a member of the Ada Chamber of Commerce, the Kiwanis Club of Ada, and was active in the Kiwanis Ball Park. He was the manager of C. R. Anthony's from 1956-1988, and worked as an armed security guard at the Chickasaw Trading Post. He was a member of Southwest Church of Christ and previously served as an elder at Central Church of Christ for many years. He married Phylis Sharon Halk Feb. 11, 1959, at Cromwell. She died Nov. 15, 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Tom Yahola. Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Yahola, Oklahoma City, Cherry Bennett and husband Terry, Allen, and Debbie "Charlie" Yahola, Ada; two grandchildren, Joshua Bennett, of the home, and Laurissa Bennett, Allen; a brother, James Yahola and family, Moore; two sisters, Connie Kimbrough and family, Houston, Texas, and Lois Yahola, Cromwell; and nephews, Joey Yahola, David Yahola and Richard Yahola. Bearers are Bob Hester, Bill Adams, James Sherrell, Richard Yahola, Mark Cox, Jerry Walker, David Yahola and Tom Stephens.
