Mrs. Stewart died Sept. 30, 2007. She was born Sept. 8, 1912 at Ravia to Charlie and Mollie Updegraff. She married Claud Stewart on March 5, 1931. For several years, Mrs. Stewart and her family owned and operated the grocery store-gas station and cafe at Connerville. She also operated the Western store, was the post master and cooked at the Connerville school. Mrs. Stewart was a Christian and a life-long member of the Connerville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Stewart, one son-in- law, Wayne Cravatt, one grandson, Dustin Barrett, two grandson-in- laws, Pete Gray and Eddie Woolly and four brothers and five sisters. Survivors include her son Bobby Stewart, and his wife Neva Jo; one daughter Wilma "Sissy" Cravatt, all of Connerville; five grandchildren, Claudene Barrett and husband Danny, Janeen Gray, Randa Covington and husband Carroll, Melanie Monetathchi and husband Dusk, and Mike Stewart and wife Jana; 10 great-grandchildren, Sassy Stokesberry and husband Danny, Wes Gray and wife Morgan, Wayne Gray and wife Dana, Jori Covington, Jordan Monetathchi, Janessa Monetathchi, Jara Monetathchi, Jaisen Monetathchi, C.J. Mr. Hodge died Sept. 29, 2007. He was born Aug. 29, 1913, at Duncan to Ben and Jennie Goodwin Hodge. He attended Holdenville area schools and was a lifelong cowboy. He was an auto body repairman and owned and operated his own shop for several years. He was a Baptist and a Mason for more than 50 years. He was a member of Atoka Masonic Lodge 4. He and Idee Bell Yandell were married June 2, 1934, at Holdenville. She died July 10, 1999. She was a church secretary, and attended Lakeview Church of the Nazarene and Tyler First Church of the Nazarene. She married the Rev. William Chandler. They were married 66 years. He was born Oct. 3, 1924, in the Lawrence Community, near Ada to Walter and Janie Fine Robertson He married Gerry Smith July 11, 1944, at Ada. He attended school at Lawrence and Fitzhugh High School. Mr. Robertson was an aircraft mechanic with the Boeing Company in Wichita, Kan., from 1952 until retiring in 1976. He and his wife returned to Ada in 1970. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps from 1943-1946 in the Pacific Theatre. He was also a member of Ada Lodge 119 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. Survivors include his wife, Gerry Robertson, of the home; a son, Charles "Butch" Robertson and wife Judy, Barton, N.Y.; a daughter, Becky Maxey and husband Brian, Allen, Texas; two sisters, Shirley Biggs and husband Wayne, Ada, and Sue Bunch, Garland, Texas; one grandson, Jared Maxey, Shawnee; two granddaughters, Lauren Maxey, Allen, Texas, and Danielle Moraitis, Barton, N.Y. Mr. Walton previously was employed with General Tire Company, Solo Cup Company of Ada, the Chickasaw Nation, Case Tractor, and previously, he was the owner and operator of Pest Management Company. Mr. Walton was a member of High Hill Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Marine Corps in the 1960's. He married LaVera L. Hanks Dec. 29, 1992. Survivors include his wife, LaVera Walton, of the home; two sons, Steve Walton and wife Tammy, Ada, and Jay D. Mr. Marler was a pumper for the oilfield industry and also a farmer and rancher. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Maud, a member of the Masonic Lodge 81 in Allen, and a Master Mason. He married Lucille Lavada Stokes June 16, 1942, in Ada. She died Nov. 10, 1984. He later married Katie Cannon in 1986. She died March 2000. She graduated from Stonewall high school, and later from East Central University with a teaching degree. Mrs. Lovelady was member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church. During World War II, she was employed in the aircraft industry. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a volunteer at the Ada Nutrition Center for many years. She married Mike Wilson Lovelady Aug. 27, 1944, in Arizona. He died in February 1978 at Little Rock, Ark. Survivors include a niece and nephew, and good friend, Sue Bingham, of Ada. She married Beecher Samuel Isaacs Aug. 8, 1942, in Konawa He died March 30, 2001. Survivors include four sons, Gary Isaacs and his wife Susi, Konawa, Aaron Isaacs and his wife Debbie, Colorado City, Colo., David Isaacs and his wife Janet, Pima, Ariz., and Drew Isaacs and his wife Phyllis, Konawa; two sisters, Laverne Penberthy, Grand Junction, Colo., and Margie Marshall, Kansas City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a first grade school teacher at Hayes Elementary for many years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church for over 80 years, a member of the Tanti Study Club, Oklahoma Educators Association, and the Pontotoc County Retired Teachers Association. She married B.F. Alletag on July 17, 1937. He died Feb. 15, 1993. A veteran of US Navy aviation in World War II and member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Mr. Roberts also served on the Board of Development and Board of Directors at Oklahoma Christian University. He married to Emma Rudy April 9, 1948, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was born Nov. 7, 1919, at Clarita and graduated from Gracemont High School in 1937. He also attended mechanical school in Kansas City, Mo. He was drafted into the U.S. Army Dec. 26, 1943. He served until Nov. 13, 1945. He was honorably discharged as a staff sergeant. He fought battles in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He and one other soldier were the only survivors in his company following the Battle of the Bulge. He received a Purple Heart, the World War II Victory Medal, EAME Campaign Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, and the Silver Star Medal. Mr. Hall was a farmer and rancher from 1939 until August 1956. He and his family moved to Stonewall where he was an owner and manager of a service station and a mechanic. Mr. Hall was a member of the Church of Christ and served as an elder for many years. He married Ethel Wallis Dec. 1, 1939, at Coalgate. He was born July 1, 1922, at Pontotoc, Okla., to Jay and Nora Hooper Harden. He attended Pontotoc Schools and graduated from Pontotoc High School in 1941. He served in the U. S. Marine Corp during World War II and was honorably discharged as a sergeant. He later attended Oklahoma A&M College and graduated in 1950 with a bachelor's degree in animal science. He married Norine Garlington on July 5, 1944, at Pawnee. Mr. Harden was a lifelong rancher in Pontotoc County. He was the caller of Ada "Hereford Whirlers" Square Dance Club for 50 years and helped organize square dance clubs in Durant, Broken Bow, Hugo, Stonewall, Sulphur and Konawa. He was active in community affairs where he served on the board of Fittstown Volunteer Fire Department as its treasurer for five years. He was also an active member of the Fittstown Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Norine Harden, of the home; a son, Marc Harden and wife Kyla, Ada; two granddaughters, Amberly Harden, Ada, and JulieAnn Harden, Republic, Mo.; and brother-in-law and sister-in- law, Lance and Jackie Wise, St. Louis, Mo. He was drafted by the Army at the age of 17 and sent to Japan, serving as a combat infantryman and a technician repairman. He was honorably discharged Nov. 17, 1946, with many decorations and citations. Some of the honors he received are the Meritorious Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal, Japan. He was employed for many years with Trend Oil and Gas Construction Company as a construction welder, and helped construct some of the largest gasoline plants in America. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Calumet. He married Billye Jean Brown May 1, 1947, at Holdenville. She died on Oct. 16, 1986, in Guymon. He later married Janice Gannon, Calumet, Sept. 12, 1988, at Ada. Gary Bishop officiating. Mr. Crosson died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, in Grove. He was born June 23, 1930, in Snowmac, Okla., to Guy and Mabel Phelps Crosson. He grew up in the Ada area. After graduating from high school, Jack attended East Central University in Ada, where he played basketball. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served as a staff sergeant during the Korean War. Mr. Crosson moved to the Chelsea area in 1958. For most of his life, Mr. Crosson was a rancher and a Texaco distributor. He was also involved in real estate. He married Vera Marie Howard Dec. 21, 1960, in Turley. She died July 14, 2005. Mr. Crosson was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, Norman Crosson and Neal Crosson. Survivors include a son, Terrell and Willgelmina Crosson, Chelsea; and a sister, Sue Whitwell, Stonewall. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at Turner Funeral Chapel in Grove. He was also preceded in death by his parents, John and Gordie King. Mr. King attended Tupelo Schools and graduated from Tupelo High School. Survivors include a sister, Robbie Krug and her three daughters, all from Denver, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Anna Jean Key and her husband Jack, Muskogee, Okla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Survivors include her mother, Viola Misenhimer, Shafter, Calif.; two daughters, Stacy Hooser, Shafter, Calif., and Lisa Reeves and husband Shawn, Ada, Okla.; a son, Sam P. Hooser and wife Heather, Ada; grandchildren, Zach, Cinda, Mariah, Amy, Hayley, Grace, and Mallory; a great-granddaughter, Kinsey Hooser, Ada; two sisters, Phyllis Sanders, Stratford, Okla., and Lawanda Cramer, Bakersfield, Calif.; and a brother, William Misenhimer, Studio City, Calif.
