A native of Ada, OK, John has resided in Contra Costa County for the past 40 yrs. He was a retired used and new car salesman. John was life member of the VFW Post #913 of Richmond, a member of the American Legion Post #0292 of Albany, and a member of the San Pablo Ave. Sportsmen Club. John served his country in the US Army WWII. John is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Mary A. Cochran, daughters, Darlene Pegram of Pleasant Hill, CA, Evelyn Edgington and son-in-law, Lee Edgington, of American Canyon, CA, sister, Veda Brown (Roland) of Norman, OK and grandson, Michael Pegram of Pleasant Hill, CA. Visitation: Wed., April 28 from 4-8pm at Chapel of the Mission Bells, Wilson & Kratzer, San Pablo, CA (510) 232-6552. Funeral Service: Thurs., April 29, 2pm at Mission Bells. Committal Service: Friday, April 30, 11am at St. Stansilaus Cemetery in Modesto, CA.
