Edelman Horace J. Edelman, 86, formerly of Duncan, now of Fort Worth, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2003, in Fort Worth. Service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery. Mr. Edelman was born April 30, 1916, in Roff. Mr. Edelman was a resident of Duncan for 32 years and the past 2 1/2 years a resident of Fort Worth. He was a business owner and welder by trade. He retired April 1, 1981, after many construction projects from west Texas to Minnesota, including the Alaskan Alyeska Pipeline Project. He was affiliated with Gospel Beams Church. Survivors include his wife, Stella Stinnett Edelman of Duncan; two daughters, Jean Popnoe of Garland, Texas, and Lumedda King of Gainesville, Fla.; two sons, Dahl James Edelman of Solway, Minn., and Lloyd E. Edelman of Forth Worth; 16 grandchildren; 30 great- grandchildren; two step-daughters, Peggy Franklin and Margie Gardner, both of Duncan; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Madonna E. Whittington of Duncan.
