Hunt, 81, of Ada, are 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd Kaiser will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Mrs. Hunt died Monday, July 30, 2007, at a local nursing home. She was born April 13, 1926, in the Lovelady Community, east of Ada to Silas P. and Bettie Potter Taylor. She graduated from Byng high school in 1944 and later attended East Central State College, graduating in 1949. She was a teacher at Lovelady Elementary for one year and later taught in Dumas, Texas, for two years. Mrs. Hunt was a long time active member of Southwest Church of Christ. She married Charles Hunt on June 7, 1952, in Ada. He died on July 4, 1988. Survivors include three sons, Frank Hunt, Amarillo, Texas, Tommy Hunt, Killeen, Texas, Ronnie Hunt, Udall, Kans.; a grandson, Eddie Ray, US Army; a granddaughter, Lena Jo McDonald, Rockwall, Texas; a brother, Silas P. Taylor Jr., Ada; and a sister, Delia Jo Leddy, Cookeville, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Pricilla Ray, six brothers, Nathaniel, James, Tim, Robert, Luke and Idus Taylor, and two sisters, Parette Lillard and Ruth Carter.
