Kelso Lynne E. Kelso, 58, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed from our lives to join her heavenly father, on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, in Norman, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 10, 2007, at Westside Church of Christ in Norman with Leon Dennis officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 P.M., at the East Hill Cemetery in Roff, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma. Lynne was born July 13, 1949, to Dr. Walter Melvin and Mattie Lee (Boler) Smith, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She graduated from Pauls Valley High School and attended East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma where she met the love of her life and husband, Robert F. Kelso, Jr.. They married on July 19, 1968, at the Church of Christ in McAlester, Oklahoma. They moved to Norman in 1971, from Ada. They had three daughters and two granddaughters who were and are her pride and joy. Lynne was a member of the Westside Church of Christ, Chi Omega and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She will be remembered most as a wonderful cook which she thoroughly enjoyed, but mostly for being the best wife, mother, grandmother and friend one could have. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Georganne and infant daughter. Survivors include her husband, Robert F. Kelso, Jr. of the home; daughter, Christi Morren and husband, Kevin, of Moore, OK; mother-in- law, Georgia Kelso, of Norman, OK; two granddaughters, Courtney M. Morren and Elizabeth N. Morren, both of Moore, OK; and siblings, Mel Smith and wife, Jo Dean, of Pauls Valley, OK, LeeAnne Center and husband, Dr. Julian L. Center, Jr., of Andover, Mass, Ret. Col. John R. Smith and wife, Donna, of Purcellville, VA, Dr. Michael H. Smith and wife, Moraine, of Oklahoma City, and numerous nieces and nephews.
