Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral Home. Mrs. Barnes died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, in Rolla. She was born Jan. 25, 1920, at Gassville, Ark., to Clay Vaden and Rosa Anna Birdwell Palk. Her family moved to this area in 1921 from Gassville. She attended McLish schools, graduated from McLish High School and also attended East Central University. She married Grover Alexander Barnes Sept. 17, 1938, in Ada. He died June 21, 1998, in Ada. During World War II, she worked at Douglas Aircraft at Tinker Field Air Force Base in Midwest City, helping with the manufacturing of C47 transport aircraft. Mrs. Barnes was a homemaker and also an Avon representative for more than 50 years. She was a member of Central Church of Christ, participated in March of Dimes and a den mother for the Cub Scouts. Survivors include two sons, Larry Barnes, Chickasha, and Mark Barnes and wife Kelly, Rolla, Mo.; a sister, Georgia Earle Sears, Coalgate; a daughter-in-law, Norma Barnes, Madison, Miss.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. John D. Norvell officiating. Mrs. Bell died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at a Dallas hospital. She was born June 8, 1916, at Hope, Ark., to Dr. William M. and Maude Daly Garner. She attended school in Hope, Ark., and graduated from Quachita Baptist College with a bachelor of arts degree in drama and taught drama at the college. She married James Ed Bell in 1939 at Prescott, Ariz. He died in 1988 at Ada, Okla. Mrs. Bell and her husband moved to Ada in 1954 from Denver, Colo. She was a homemaker and an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild. She graduated from East Central University and received a master's of education degree from East Central. Mrs. Tilley taught third grade for many years for the Byng School System. She was a longtime member of Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church. She married Karl Tilley Oct. 4, 1940 in Ada. John D. Norvell officiating. Mr. Galvin died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, in Oklahoma City. He was born July 1, 1925, at Cleveland, Ohio, to Emmet Robert and Deva Marie Sand Galvin. He attended elementary school in Peoria, Ill., and graduated from Western Military Academy in Alton, Ill.. He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1949. Mr. Galvin joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in March 1944, with the 8th Army Air Corps. He was a Waist Gunner on a B17, flying from England over Germany. He flew 28 missions and was shot down three times. He joined the Reserves and was sent to Morocco, North Africa in 1950 with the U.S. Air Force. He married Mary Carolyn Emanuel Aug. 23, 1945 in Ada. Mr. Galvin was a Petroleum Land Man and a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He was a member of Oak Hills Golf and Country Club, the American Association of Professional Landmen and the American Diabetes Association. Survivors include his wife, Mary Galvin, of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Barbara Moon and husband Bill, Ada, and Laura Floyd and husband Ken, Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren, Geoff Moon, Ada, Courtney Moon, Oklahoma City, Andy Moon and wife Michelle, Cibolo, Texas, and Eric Floyd, San Antonio, Texas; great-granddaughter, Pacey Marie Moon, Norman; a sister, Dorothy Power and husband Chuck, Orange, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. She was born Nov. 8, 1926, at Ada to Bruce and Stella McKnight Myers. She lived in the Ada area most of her life, attended Egypt Elementary School and Latta High School where she played basketball. She married Leo Tarver on May 18, 1946, in Ada. He died in 1965. She married Roy A. Vogt Nov. 2, 1970, in Stratford. He died Sept. 10, 2006. Mrs. Vogt was formerly employed at the Hamburger King, the Box Plant at Brockway Glass Company and she was a homemaker. She served as a Sunday school assistant teacher for many years at Central Church of Christ, she worked with the bus ministry program, and the Yellow House for the Southwest Church of Christ sacking food for the hungry. Mrs. Vogt supported the Philippines Mission Work at the Central Church of Christ and the Haiti Orphanage and Prison Ministry of the Southwest Church of Christ. She supported the Herald of Truth, and the local community ministry Helping Hands organization. Survivors include two sons, Jim Tarver and wife Shari, Oklahoma City, and David Tarver and wife Suzanne, Ponca City; two daughters, Patsy Goldman and husband Sam, Cassville, Missouri, and Diane Stilwell and husband Robbie, Ada; one brother, Curtis Myers and wife Opheline, Poteau; a sister, Charlene Gouge, Lancaster, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Page was a member of the Coalgate United Methodist Church since 1967. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Bessie Keener; sister, Hattie Fulsom; and nephew, Hallen Fulsom. HALL ADA — Services for Dr. Harvey Dale Hall, 81, Ada, are 10 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, the Rev. David McCann will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Hall died Saturday, March 3, 2007, at a Norman hospital. He was born July 26, 1925, at Citra to George Dewey and Nettie Mae Nickell Hall. He graduated from Centrahoma High School and East Central University. He graduated in 1954 from Washington University Dental School in St. Louis, Mo. He married Margaret Joan “Peggy Jo” Duniver June 14, 1946, in Ada. She died Aug. 23, 1993, at Ada. Dr. Hall was a dentist, where he was a pioneer in implant dentistry until his retirement. He authored and lectured on implant dentistry all over the United States and in Athens, Greece. He was published in numerous medical and dental journals. He was a rancher, formerly owning Arrowhead Ranch where he raised cattle and later a quarter horse operation which produced Eastex who won the All American Futurity. Dr. Hall was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where he served as elder, deacon, and session. He was a member of American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Central District Dental Association. Dr. Hall conducted Oklahoma Dental Association meeting table clinics, where he was awarded the SEIDS Cup three consecutive years and gaining permanent possession of the Cup. He was a credentialed member and Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and a consulting member of the Arkansas Academy of Oral Implantology. Dr. Hall was a member of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce and the Junior Jaycees. He was a committee member of Pass, one of five people who obtained community support for the Pontotoc County Agri-plex, and he was on the advisory board of the Salvation Army. Dr. Hall was honored in 1994 as a Distinguished Alumnus from East Central University, where he was a longtime supporter and contributor to the University and the East Central University Foundation. Dr. Hall was a supporter of the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry presenting seminars and clinics there as well as serving on the Preceptor Staff. He was a longtime contributor to the University of Oklahoma Foundation's J. Dean Robertson Society. He also supported the work of the Oklahoma State University Animal Science Department with significant contributions to their research on both cattle and horses. He served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps during World War II as an aviation radioman, second class. Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Ann Sutton, Stillwater; a son, Dr. Bruce Hall and wife Brenda, Ada; two brothers, Quintin Hall and wife Pat, Moore, and Ron Hall and wife Barbara, Tuttle; a sister, Gramalla Jones and husband Don, Tulsa; four grandchildren, Tyler Mullman, Tulsa, Brody Sutton, Stillwater, Grant Hall, Stillwater, and Brian Goodwin, Jenks; and a great-granddaughter, Halle Goodwin. She attended school at Pecan Grove and graduated from East Central Normal School. She received a teaching certificate from East Central State Teacher's College and a master's of dducation degree from East Central State College. She married James Leslie McFarland Sept. 11, 1932, in Ada. He died Feb. 27, 1984. Mrs. McFarland taught at Pecan Grove, Lovelady and Colbert schools, retiring from the Latta school system. She was a member of Ahloso Church of Christ and later Central Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Dana Kimbrough, Dallas; a grandson, Kolin Kimbrough, Dallas; granddaughter, Karla Clifton and husband Randy, Soper, Okla.; two great grandchildren, Kallie Clifton and Kate Clifton. Mrs. Julian was a cashier and hostess at the Holiday Inn until her retirement in the 1980s. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ. He was born Jan.1, 1910, in Eastland, Texas, to James Grand and Naomi Harbin Quiett. He married Ida Veomia Lobstein Dec. 24, 1927, in Crosby County, Texas. After farming for a while, he worked for Reid Faubion Chevrolet Company in Levelland, Texas, and retired after 36 years. He was a volunteer fireman for the city of Levelland and served as assistant chief of that fire department for 25 years. In his honor, they retired his badge number when he retired. After moving to Ada in 1971, he started an antique clock and small appliance repair business. He spoke to schools and civic clubs about the history and workings of clocks and was dubbed “Ada's Father Time” by the Ada Evening News. He retired from this business at the age of 92. He was a member of the Byars Baptist Church until 1984 when he became a member of the First Baptist Church of Ada. He was also a member of the Ada Masonic Lodge and the Diamond K Kiwanis Club of Ada. He married Lorene Johnson Feb. 20, 1943. He entered the military Aug. 29, 1944, serving in the Army during World War II and was discharged July 4, 1946 as a tech sergeant with two bronze stars, good conduct medal and other awards. Mr. Solomon moved to Enid in 1948 and began a career as a barber. He then became an insurance adjuster owning his own company from 1968-1974. From 1970 to 1994, he owned and operated Pay-Less Garden Center until his retirement. He was a long time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, Sunday school leader, was a member of the choir and coached the churchmen's softball and basketball teams for several years. He is survived by a daughter Evelyn Strickland; a son Herb and his wife Rhonda; two sisters, Marjorie Blansett, Morris, and Carletta Keith of Houston, Texas; and a grandson Conner Strickland. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1938 from Wichita, and to Ada in 2002 from Oklahoma City. She married Willard F. Roberts in 1935. He died in 1981. She later married David R. Crandall in 1991. He died in 1998. Mrs. Crandall was a homemaker and she and her husband, Willard F. Roberts owned and operated Buck's Sporting Goods in Oklahoma City for more than 40 years from 1940 to 1980. Mrs. Crandall was a charter member of May Avenue Methodist Church, later became a member of Nichols Hills United Methodist Church. Dr. Schoepflin died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at his home. He was born Jan. 14, 1917, in Queens County of New York City to Adolphe and Gertrude Anna Endres Schoepflin. He graduated from the First Institute of Podiatry in New York City in 1938 and graduated from Buffalo University of Medicine in 1943, and then went on active duty in the U.S. Army Medical Corps. His first assignment was Percy Jones Army Hospital and other assignments included Puerto Rico, Fort Leonardwood, Mo., U.S. Embassy in London, England, as a medical attache. He retired form Landstuhl, Germany, in April of 1974, where he was commanding officer. He continued to work for the government until 1999. Dr. Schoepflin and Mary Jo Roberts were married Sept. 4, 1999, in Ada . Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Roberts Schoepflin, of the home; two brothers, Herbert J. She was born July 7, 1921 in Princeton, Texas to Odie Cowan and Lena Rutledge Cowan. She married Chester Yoesting April 14, 1941 in Shawnee. Mr. Yoesting died Jan. 30, 1990. Ms. Yoesting graduated from Shawnee High School in 1940. She move to Ada from Shawnee in 1988 and has resided here ever since. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Yoesting, and her parents, Odie and Lena Cowan. Survivors include two son, Dwayne Yoesting and wife Judy, Ada, and Eddie Yoesting and wife Barbara Sue, Howe, Texas; one brother, Gerald Cowan, Tecumseh; and one sister, Ann Monger, Princeton, Texas. She was born May 16, 1922, in Hominy, Okla., to John Shea and Laura Jane Bartlett Merrill. She attended school at Wynona. She married Robert Walter Wells on Jan. 3, 1940, in Sedan, Kan. He died Sept. 14, 2002, in Ada. Mrs. Wells moved to Ada in 1983 from Oklahoma City. During World War II, she was employed with Douglas Aircraft. Mrs. Wells was a homemaker, and formerly was employed in food service in Oklahoma City. She was affiliated with Cedar Grove Free Will Baptist Church and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Wilson and husband Carl, Francis, and Janet Crawford and husband Jim, Francis; one son, Robert Wells Jr. and wife Mary, Newcastle; one sister, Othelia Ruth Edwards, Midwest City; nine grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Bearers will be son, Robert Wells Jr., son-in-law, Jim Crawford, and grandsons, Jimmy Crawford, Glenn Wilson, Curtis Wilson, and Kevin Prewitt.
