Moore April 7, 1918 — Sept. 4, 2006 Willie "Bill" Warren Moore, 88, of Waterford died Monday at Medical Center of McKinney, McKinney, Texas. Mr. Moore was a native of Stonewall, Okla., and had lived in Waterford since 1964. He was a carpenter for 23 years. He was superintendent for the Waterford Irrigation District, which merged with Modesto Irrigation District, where he was superintendent for 12 years. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, and a member of the 455th Bomb Group Association. He was a member and ordained minister of First Southern Baptist Church of Waterford, and a member of the Moose Lodge of Turlock and the Carpenters Union. He enjoyed golf. He is survived by his wife, Mary I. Moore of Waterford; daughter, Jeannene Xanthus of Celeste, Texas; brother, Eugene Moore of Eugene, Ore.; sisters, Velma Cozbey of McAllister, Okla., and Thelma Johnson of Canadian, Okla.; and three grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Linda Frisk; and six brothers. Visitation from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, Modesto. A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson.
