Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery in Stratford. Mr. Gray died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Norman Veterans Center. He was born Jan. 9, 1921, at Oil Center to Orean Edward and Teria Mae Jones Gray. He attended Summers Chapel School and graduated from Vanoss High School. Mr. Gray was employed with the U. S. Department of Agriculture until his retirement, and later was a retailer at the Farmer's Market in Ada for many years. He was a member of the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church, and had served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Italy, France and Germany. He received the Silver Star, Bronze Star, three battle stars, and numerous other ribbons and awards. He married Pearl Wood on April 13, 1946, at Coalgate. Survivors include his wife, Pearl Gray, of the home; two sons, David Ray Gray, Muskogee, and Garry Gray, Norman; one daughter, Carma Gray Parker, and husband Russ, McKinney, Texas; daughter-in-law, Lois Gray, Lexington; three sisters, Zelma Dickinson, Oklahoma City, Ruby Lane, Oklahoma City, and Elsie Cole, Connerville; two brothers, Bob Gray, Ada, and Joe Gray, Ada; six grandchildren, Diana Ross and husband Marty, Brenna Woodward and husband Jeremy Woodward, Cindy Tibbits and husband Paul Tibbits, Britney Parker and fiancé, Jason Pedraza, Shane Parker, and Chase Gray; and three great-grandchildren, Chelsie Gray, Madison Woodward, and Dalton Woodward. Mr. Pennington was a farmer and a self-employed produce salesman, and later a salesman for Guderian Produce. He was a member of Central Church of Christ, the Pontotoc County Swine Association and a F.F.A. sponsor. Jason Elmore will officiate. Mr. Gale died on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, in Tulsa. He was born Oct. 27, 1914, in Pontotoc. He grew up in Mill Creek and then Ada where he was a member of Boy Scouts and DeMolay and graduated from Horace Mann High School. He attended George Washington University in Washington D.C., where he was a member and president of Kappa Sigma fraternity, and earned a bachelor’s degree in June 1942. He then entered the Army Air Corps and was an instructor of aerial photography. He was honorably discharged in 1946 and returned to Ada. He was named president of Ada Jaycees in 1950. Mr. Gale and his family moved to Tulsa in 1957 where he had a long and successful career in the drilling fluids business. He was a member of the Oaks Country Club for 50 years, served on the board of directors of Tulsa Petroleum Club, and belonged to Southern Hills Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Jeannine Hunter and husband Dr. Nick Hunter of Tulsa, Joanie Elmore and husband the Rev. Jason Elmore of Bartlesville, and Jill Young and husband Michael Young of Tulsa. Mr. Wallace died Friday, April 4, 2008, at a Holdenville nursing home. He was born May 26, 1942, at Troy, Okla., to Virgil Homer “Dick” and Ruby Alma Combs Wallace. He attended Troy Elementary School, Mill Creek High School and graduated from Allen High School in 1960. He graduated from East Central University in 1963 majoring in math and science and earned a master of science degree from Purdue University in 1966. He married Mary Helen Smith March 4, 1966, in St. Louis, Mo. Mr. Wallace worked seven years as a civilian with the Air Force Aeronautical Chart and Information Center in St. Louis, Mo. He then returned to the Allen-Atwood area where he taught math and science for 27 years in the Allen School District. He was also a farmer and rancher, raising peanuts and cattle. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for six years. Ms. Goddard was a graduate of East Central State College and an elementary school teacher at Hayes Elementary School in Ada all her working life. Criswell Funeral Home, Ada --------------------------------------------------------------------- Ada Evening News, Ada, OK, Pontotoc County Wednesday, April 09, 2008 JIMMY GLASCO SEMINOLE — A celebration of life service for Jimmy Dale Glasco, 63, Seminole, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Kelley Haney Center located on the Seminole State College campus. Mr. Glasco died Sunday, April 6, 2008, at his home. He was born Dec. 24, 1944, in Ada to Homer Lee and Hazel Juanita Davenport Glasco. Mr. Glasco graduated from Coalgate High School in 1963. He graduated from East Central University, where he received a bachelors of science degree in 1967 and a master’s in dducation in 1976. He was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. He also served in the National Guard from 1967 to 1973. He was a longtime educator where he taught and coached track and football at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs and at Seminole High School from 1968 - 1972. In 1975 he began a 24-year teaching career at Seminole Junior College where he retired in 1999 as vice chairman of the Social Sciences Division. Mr. Glasco served the Order of Elks at local, state and national levels. He was a past-exalted ruler of the Seminole Lodge and also served terms as district deputy grand exalted ruler and as vice president for Oklahoma Elks Association. He was Oklahoma's representative to the Grand Lodge Accident and Prevention Committee for many years. He received many honors and awards with his proudest moment being a member of the 1989 Elks National Champion Ritual Team. Seminole was the first lodge from Oklahoma to win this competition and posted the highest score in the history of this event. On Sept. 6, 1989, Robert S. Kerr, III appointed Mr. Glasco as honorary lieutenant governor for Oklahoma and he was honored by the Oklahoma House of Representatives. She was a Girl Guard Leader for six years and a Sunday school and Junior Soldier Teacher for many years. She was a Home League historian since 1994, and started the League of Mercy in 1990. She married Raul Nieto Gomez on May 7, 1969, in Ada. He died July 8, 1975, in Martinez, Calif. As basketball coach, English teacher, principal and superintendent, Mr. Littlepage spent 41 years in education. He taught and coached in Pontotoc and Russett. He was the principal at Ravia high school and later at Tishomingo high school. In 1966, Mr. Littlepage was selected as the school’s superintendent for the following school year, and served in that capacity for 25 years before retiring in 1991. He was named Citizen of the Year in 1988 by the Johnston County Chamber of Commerce and was also named the Distinguished Administrator of the year by the Oklahoma Association of School Administrators. She moved back to Ada in 2002 and to Lawton in April 2005. She married E.L. Redman May 29, 1932, at Madill. He died in 2005.
