All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Dallas-Ft Worth National Cemetery--Dallas TX Allen, Bobby Joe and Lovelle Novella Bobby Joe Allen, 71, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005. His wife, Lovelle Novella Allen, 76, passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005. Memorial service: (joint) noon Thursday, Jan. 12, at Handley Church of Christ. Interment: to follow in D-FW National Cemetery. Memorials: The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Handley Church of Christ Youth Ministry or to the charity of donor's choice. Bobby Joe Allen was born May 8, 1934, in Sulphur Springs to O.D and Una Faye Allen. His father preceded him in death. Lovelle Novella Manley was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Ada, Okla., to Jasper A. Manley and Marcie Simpson. Her parents preceded her in death as well as her sister, Mozelle Strawn, and brother, Jay Manly. They will both be greatly missed by their family and many, many close friends. They were lifelong members of Handley Church of Christ in Fort Worth. Bobby Joe served in the Army during the Berlin crisis and retired from the 49th Armored Division, Texas Army National Guard, in 1980 with the rank of master sergeant. He was a retired maintenance technician for the Texas National Guard. Lovelle Allen retired from Ashburn Map Company and excelled at archery, winning several awards. She also added bowling awards to her many other accomplishments, those of motherhood, church, family and cooking pies and cakes. They were married 53 years and together enjoyed music, fishing, traveling and playing cards and dominoes. Survivors: Sons, Brady Joe and Bobby R. Allen and wife, Debbie; grandson, Bryan Allen; granddaughters, Heather Hartman and Rachelle Gammon and husband, Jim; and great-grandson, Hayden Young Gammon. Bobby Joe is also survived by brothers, Gene Allen and wife, Juanita, Buddy Allen and wife, Wanda, Billy Allen and wife, Joy; his mother, Una Faye Allen; and aunt, Lou Larkin and husband, Howard. Lovelle is survived by sister, Katherine Horner; nieces, Kay and Sissy; and nephew, Jerry Horner.
