All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery--Bakersfield CA JoAnn Blaska Services: Wed., March 19, 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 19, at 11:00 a.m., in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for JoAnn Blaska, 64, of Bakersfield, who passed away March 13, 2003, at her home. Pastor Mike Papovich will officiate. Mrs. Blaska was born April 25, 1938 in Roff, Oklahoma, and had been a resident of Kern County for 52 years. She had been the owner of Precision Driving School since the early 1970s and loved to teach people how to drive. She was a member of the Kern County Mineral Society, and loved to go rock hounding with friends and making jewelry. She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Goodman. She is survived by her children, Larry Gene Dye and his wife, Janet, Michael Ray Dye, Vikki Hollingsworth, Robin Blaska-Stenzel and her husband, Eric, and Brian J. Blaska; grandchildren, Carlee McClard and her husband, Stephen, Crystal Dye, Trevor Dye, Chelsea Stenzel, Tyler Blaska, Chris Blaska and his wife, Jenny, Brandon Blaska, Abby Blaska, Haley Blaska, Riley Cheek, Michael Cheek and Jason Woods; great-grandchildren, Madison and Tyeler McClard, Matthew Troxell and Jordon Blaska; sisters, Janette Calhoun, Moncie Smith and Drucilla Goodman; sister-in-law, Janene Goodman; brothers, Stanley Hicks Goodman Jr. and Jerry Goodman; stepmother, Irene Goodman; and nephews and nieces, Terry and Samantha Goodman, Gary and Dolores Goodman and Regina and Richard Bench. JoAnn loved life to the fullest. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to a lot of people. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 18, from 12:00-9:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Mortuary.
