Cecil U. Brown

Private family services will be held at Hillcrest Mortuary Friday, 
June 7 at 1:00 for Cecil U. Brown devoted husband, father and 
grandfather

Cecil U. Brown born in 1916 in Ada Oklahoma. The youngest of three 
children, born to John and Angie Brown.

Cecil is preceded in death by the sweetest little women in the world 
his loving wife of 66 years Laurene A. Brown. Who passed  January 19, 
2001. Cecil is survived by his two sons Larry Brown Gary and 
daughter-in-law Vicki Brown of Bakersfield, two daughters Geraldine 
and son-in-law Paul of Ventura. Sharon and son-in-law Randy Gairrison 
of Bakersfield. Grandchildren Vanessa Brown, Scott and wife Amber 
Brown, Christine Brown, Mendy Gairrison, Dustin Gairrison and great-
grandson T.C. Bailey.

Cecil was a veteran of world war II, moving to Bakersfield after the 
war. He retired from L.W. Potter Trucking in 1985. Cecil spent the 
last 5 years in Shafter Convalescent home and was loved and cherished 
by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the staff at 
Shafter Convalescent for the all the Love  and tender care they gave 
to our father.
