Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim McGough officiating. Burial will in Duncan Cemetery. Family visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown was born Sept. 23, 1909, in Ada, to Jim and Hattie Bennett Tidwell. She married Lawrence Brown in January 1928, and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Brown was a member of Banner Assembly of God. Survivors include two sons, Charles Brown of Wynnewood and Marion Brown of Ninnekah; a sister, Vida Brown of Comanche; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Carol Wayne Brown, in 1995; a brother, Lloyd Tidwell; four sisters, Clovis Husband, Vernon Wolf, Lorene Dove and Carrie Tidwell; and four grandsons.
