All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Littlefield Cemetery--Littlefield TX Ethel Gertrude Dipprey LITTLEFIELD - Ethel Gertrude Dipprey, 87, of Lubbock, formerly of Littlefield, died Thursday, March 19, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Hammons Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joe Hebel, a Baptist minister from Paducah, Ky., officiating. Burial will be in Littlefield Cemetery by Hammons Funeral Home. Mrs. Dipprey was born in Vanoss, Okla. She was employed as a supervisor at Lamb County Cannery from 1943 until it closed in 1946. She then worked as a cook at Clint's Cafe in Littlefield for 20 years. She also worked at other Littlefield restaurants for several years before retiring in 1973. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church. Her husband, Dave Dipprey, preceded her in death in 1961. Survivors include four daughters, Edith Briton of Amarillo, Alice Hebel of Paducah, Frankie Marsh of Fort Worth and Juanelle Elliott of Lubbock; a brother, Fred Owens of Amarillo; a sister, Esta Reel of Longview; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great- greatgrandchild.
