All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Breckinridge Cemetery--Breckinridge TX Fort Worth Star-Telegram 5 Aug 2005 Jack Dodson 1924 - 2005 Jack Dodson, 81, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at a Breckenridge hospital. Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Breckenridge with Father Eanes officiating. Burial: Breckenridge Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Morehart Mortuary in Breckenridge. Jack Ewing Dodson was born April 13, 1924, in Haskell, Okla., to Harrell C. Dodson and Virginia Lee Neal Dodson. He attended Haskell High School and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1947 with a degree in petroleum geology. He served in the Naval ROTC and the U.S. Navy for eight years. Jack married Lois Jean "Sandy" Sands on July 29, 1946, in Muskogee, Okla. He retired from Petco as a petroleum geologist after several years of service to the company. He and his wife moved from Ada, Okla., to Breckenridge in 1960. Jack was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church where he had served as a senior warden. He was also a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity and the Rotary Club, of which he was a Paul Harris Fellow. Jack served on the geological board of directors of the University of Oklahoma and as an honorary admiral of the Texas Navy. Jack was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Survivors: Children, Dr. Lee Dodson and wife, Laura, of Southlake and Carol and husband, Clarence Mandoiza, of Plano; brothers, Dr. Harrell C. Dodson Jr., M.D., of Oklahoma City and Dr. Richard L.
