All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Dibble Cemetery--Dibble OK Pauls Valley Daily Democrat Wednesday January 28, 1998 Mae Campbell Dunn Funeral services for Mae Campbell Dunn, age 86, of Lindsay, will be held Thursday, Jan 29, 1998 at 2 p.m. at the Erin Springs Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Bill Love. Interment will be in the Dibble Cemetery under the direction of Boydston Funeral Home, Lindsay. Mae Campbell Dunn was born Dec. 30, 1911, in Allen to William H. Ketchum and Bertha Patrick Ketchum. She passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 1998, at Washita Valley Nursing Center in Lindsay. She lived in Erin Springs for 37 years before going to the nursing home in Lindsay. She was a homemaker and a cook and a café owner. She attended Erin Springs Baptist Church and Calvary Baptist Church. She married James A. Campbell in 1925. Mr. Campbell preceded her in death on December 23, 1963. In 1965, she married William E. Dunn, who preceded her in death in 1970. Mae loved to garden and as long as she was able she raised one. She canned regularly, and usually would have a cellar full of her canning work. She used to stay she could always fix a meal for unexpected company out of her cellar and would not have to go to the store to do it. When you went to visit her, she wanted to prepare a meal for you no matter how may might be there. She also loved to crochet, and always had a smile for everyone. She loved helping people no matter what their need. She was a cook and worked in several cafes in the area, and ran one of her own in Lindsay during the broomcorn era. She will be sadly missed by friends and loved ones. She is survived by her sister, Betty Mueller and her husband, Richard, and four nephews and three nieces, of Springdale, Ark.; one brother William H. Ketchum of Palms Springs, Calif.; one sister-in- law Dixie Ketchum of Lindsay; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by both husbands; both parents; two brothers, Raymond and Roy Ketchum; and two sisters, Ople and Annie.
