Ruth Marie Johnson, 95, of 2205 Troveta, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 
1997.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Roselawn Memorial 
Park Cemetery in Salina, Kan., with the Rev. Robert Conway of 
University United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by 
Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Fifth and Pierce, and by 
Roselawn/Heights Memorial Chapel in Salina.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Hays, Kan. She moved to Amarillo and Ada, 
Okla., before returning to Kansas. She moved to Amarillo 22 years ago 
from Salina, where she taught in several schools. She married Myron 
Johnson in 1927 at Wichita, Kan. He died in 1975. She received her 
bachelor's degree from Fort Hays University. She was a lifetime 
member of Eastern Star and a member of Kansas Retired Teachers 
Association.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Johnson of Amarillo and Randall 
Johnson of Broomfield, Colo.; a sister, Marjorie Johnson of Topeka, 
Kan.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at 2205 Troveta. The body will not be available 
for viewing.
