Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Richard Coffman, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Kennedy-Meek was born in Ada, Okla. She moved to Pampa in 1942 from Snyder, Okla. She married Ernest Meek in 1977 at Pampa. She worked as a waitress for several restaurants before retiring from the Black Gold Restaurant in 1994. She also worked for Pete Bond Processing Co. for 20 years. She was a member of McCullough Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Jeanie Bryan, Jolene Howard and Brenda Lambright, all of Pampa; four brothers, Bob Weldon of Pampa, Bill Weldon and Floyd Weldon, both of Fort Cobb, Okla., and Ronnie Weldon of Mesquite; eight grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Pontotoc County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/pontotoc/pontotoc.html
