(ANDREW) MATHIS Dec. 22, 1923 - Oct . 12, 2005 Military services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2005, at Park, at 1:00 p.m. Edd was born December 22, 1923 in Ada, Oklahoma to George and Mary Mathis. He passed away October 12, 2005, at the age of 81. Edd moved to the Bakersfield area in 1940. He joined the military in 1943 and served in the Army during World War II. After his military service, Edd worked for various businesses in the Bakersfield area and the Santa Fe Railroad until his retirement in 1986. Edd is survived by his wife, Hazel; his son, Eddie and wife, Charlsie; his son, Jerrold and wife, Karen; daughter, Debbie Flint and husband, Robert; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Leroy and wife, Martha, G. W. and wife, Charlene; sisters, Tlitha Newton and Ruth Masopust; many family and friends.
