Nutt, 93, who was retired, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at a care center in Irving. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Dr. Alvin Southerland will officiate. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Thomas J. Nutt was born April 26, 1912, in Ada, Okla., and moved to Portales, N.M. He served 13 years in the United States Army Signal Corps. He volunteered at All Saints Hospital for over 5,000 hours. He was a member of Southwayside Baptist Church and a deacon for over 60 years. The family would like to express its appreciation to Drs. Mary Milam, T. Nguyen, Charles Railsback and Jeff Morgan for their excellent care over the years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie, and son, Lonnie. Survivors: Sons, Tommy Nutt and wife, Sherri, Johnny Nutt and wife, Debbie; daughters, Glenna Pietzsch and husband, Ron, Dolores Moore; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
