Proctor, Darrell Theron PROCTOR, DARRELL THERON April 2, 1935 - December 26, 2006. PROCTOR, Darrell Theron, 71, died December 26th. Born April 2, 1935, in Medford, Oregon, he was the son of Allen E. and Lou Willie (Bradford) Proctor. As an infant, his family moved to St. John's, Kansas to operate the family farm. He finished high school in Ada, Oklahoma, then joined the Navy and served for four years during the Korean War. Following his discharge, he returned to Oklahoma and married Judith Stewart in 1956. She preceded him in death in 2003. In 1959, Darrell and Judy moved to Washington with their two daughters then settled in Portland, Oregon where their two sons were born. Darrell's work took the family to a number of states, before returning permanently to Portland in 1976. He worked for Utility Equipment Company for several years before starting his own business, Proctor Equipment Company, which is now operated by his son, Sam Proctor. Darrell enjoyed hunting and fishing around the Snake River near Huntington, Oregon. He enjoyed wood working as well. Survivors include daughters Lorraine "Lorri" Evers of West Linn, Daralyn Proctor of Sherwood; sons, Bradford of Portland and Stewart "Sam" of Beaverton. He is also survived by grandchildren, Brenna, Brandon, Raynor, Jacob, James, Sam, Casey, Megan, and Jessica. He is also survived by brothers, Noel of Chester, TX and Carroll of Newton, Iowa. Memorial services will be Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Finley-Sunset Hills Chapel. Memorials may be made to OHSU Alzheimer's Research. Arrangements were entrusted to Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary.
