Simmons, Mary L.

Mary L. Simmons of Tucson died February 14, 2007. Survived by her 
husband of 30 years, Robert Simmons; children, Gail (Bill) Brooks of 
Mesa, Bill L. (Jeannie) Merriman of Tucson and Bill Simmons of 
Montana; sisters, Maurine Wentz and Betty Gilliam; brothers, Frank 
and Pete Hitt. Also survived by her grandchildren, Will and Tyler 
Brooks, Michelle Crinner and Heidi Merriman. Mrs. Simmons moved to 
Arizona from Ada, OK in 1937; she graduated from Marana High School 
in 1946 with a class of four. She served as the Postmaster in 
Cortaro, AZ for 14 years before retiring in 1988. Mrs. Simmons loved 
her family and enjoyed traveling with her husband Bob. She touched 
the hearts of many and will be missed by all. Graveside services will 
be held Monday, February 19, 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, N 
Oracle Rd & Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers contributions to the 
American Diabetic Association would be appreciated. Arrangements by 
EVERGREEN MORTUARY.
