He worked for Waller Glass for 15 years and was also a Realtor. He owned and operated a used car dealership, Sliger Used Cars, for 30 years. Mr. Sliger provided a courier service and was a maintenance technician at Central National Bank for seven years. He previously was a member of the Masons and Shrine. On July 31, 1962, he married Dorothy Miller in Fittstown, and they made their home in Enid. Survivors include his wife Dorothy of the home; two sons, Steven Dea Sliger and wife Elvira, Kempner, Texas, and Clayton Robert Sliger, Oklahoma City; one grandchild, Cody Sliger; and three brothers Lanny Sliger, Ada, Mark Sliger, Harden City, and Jeff Sliger, Ada. She graduated from high school and attended business college. She married Bill Dirck April 15, 1950, in Tulsa. He died Feb. 2, 1995. Mrs. Dirck was a homemaker and she and her husband owned and operated Memorial Park Cemetery until they retired in 1985. Mrs. Dirck was a member of Central Church of Christ in Ada for 37 years and for the past year, she was a member of Littleton, Colo., Church of Christ. Mr. Nickell served in the U.S. Navy for four years and the U.S. Air Force for 16 years. He and his family moved to Ada in 1970. Later, he was employed by Ada Candy Company and T.G.&Y. Store. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church where he served on the board of trustees. He married Lois Gifford on July 17,1959. Mr. Denney died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at his home. He was born Sept. 19, 1913, at Portland, Ind., to Raymond and Neva Hallam Denney. He graduated from Portland High School and attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind. He married Jean Danley May 2, 1935. She died May, 1997. They were married for 62 years. Mr. Denney was the chief roller with United States Steel, Sheet and Tin Division in Gary, Ind., from 1932 until 1973, retiring with 41 years of service. Upon his retirement, he and his wife purchased ranch land in Red Oak where they established another home. He was an Episcopalian. He and his family moved to New Mexico in 1967 from Ada and back to the Allen area in 2005. While living in Clovis and Roswell, N.M., he was the owner and operator of a carpet business, retiring at the age of 52. Mr. Jolley was a Baptist, a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
