Jim Chambers will officiate. Ms. Logue died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at her home. She was born Aug. 9, 1948, to H.E. and Pauline Oneta Lunsford Logue. She attended elementary school in California and she and her family moved back to this area. She graduated from Tupelo High School in 1966 and went on to receive a master’s degree with honors from East Central University in 2001. Ms. Logue was a licensed professional counselor in the Ada area for more than 10 years before retiring. She married Erwin C. Rickman in 1974. He died in 1999. Survivors include her four children, Don Grace and wife Shanna, Lincoln, Neb., Kimberly Grace, Antioch, Calif., Melissa Bradford and Rodney Wilson, of the home, and Nikki Delk and husband, Chris, Lindsay; two grandsons; and four granddaughters; three stepbrothers, Allen Maddox, Michael Maddox and Dalton Maddox, all of California; and many aunts, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, father, H.E. Logue in 1965, stepfather, Leon "Dub" Maddox in 1999, and her mother, Pauline Maddox in 2004. He was born May 30, 1951, in Roswell, N.M., to Ollie Dixon Pack. He married Rosalyn Everett Pack on July 27, 1974, in Gilmer, Texas. Mr. Pack graduated from the University of Louisiana in Monroe, La., with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. He worked for many years at Carl Albert Indian Health Facility Pharmacy in Ada as a pharmacist. He moved to this area in 2002 from Ruston, La. He also served in the United States Navy and was of Cherokee descent. Survivors include his wife, Rosalyn E. He was a member of High Springs Baptist Church and a former Council Member of the Tusekia Harjo Band. Mr. Murphy served in the United States Marine Corp and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was affiliated with First Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 118 as a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Murphy was also a charter member of the Stratford American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers and one great-grandson. Revs. Orville Cottrell and Steve Pope will be officiating. Burial will follow at Lewis Cemetery. Mr. Mink was born Aug. 5, 1954 in Sulphur to Doyle J. and Mildred Pearl (Shackleford) Mink. He died May 9, 2009 at Midwest City. He lived in the Sulphur area all of his life, graduating from Sulphur High School in 1972. Mr. Mink worked at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf for more than 34 years in the maintenance department. He served for 20 years in the Army National Guard, retiring in 1991 as Captain. A lifelong resident of Cleveland County, Nemecek was born April 9, 1919, to George Elmer and Ella Bain Nemecek near Lexington. He was raised just north of Slaughterville,, attended Alamo School and then Noble High, and later began his family in Norman before moving to his current home in 1962. Nemecek won three bronze stars as a veteran of World War II, serving as a corporal in the 10th Armored Division, 420th Armored Field Artillery of Gen. George Patton’s Third Army. His 105mm self- propelled howitzer crew was all but wiped out in fierce fighting during the Battle of the Bulge, one of the famous units who pulled up, turned and attacked in blizzard conditions to relieve Bastogne and break up the surprise Nazi advance. He received a Purple Heart for injuries there on Dec. 22, 1944. After the war, he returned to work staking the earliest lines for the new Oklahoma Electric Cooperative, where he later became warehouse manager and purchasing agent, retiring in 1984 after 38 years. He then joined RSVP and volunteered serving in the lunch program at the Noble Senior Citizens Center from 1986-96. He was a longtime member of Noble United Methodist Church, was a lifelong Democrat, and a member of the Communication Workers of America. Her husband, E. Philip Allen, preceded Laura in death. Later, she remarried and is survived by her husband, E. Robert Heatley. She was born on the family ranch in Stonewall, Dec. 29, 1921, the youngest of five children, to John H. McKoy and Cecilia Burris McKoy. She was a granddaughter of Colbert Ashalatubby Burris, a leader in the Chickasaw Nation. Ms. Heatley attended University High School in Norman and the University of Oklahoma, where she received her bachelor of science degree. She then attended Central State University and graduated with master’s degrees in school administration and counseling and guidance. She was a teacher and counselor at John Marshall High School and later served as a vice principal in the Oklahoma City school district. Ms. Heatley was a member of many professional and service organizations, which include Chi Omega Sorority, Junior League of Oklahoma City, P.E.O. Chapter CK, Twentieth Century Club, Mayfair Dance Club, and The Thursday Book Club. She was also a member of Oklahoma City Boat Club. As a life-long Methodist, she was a member of the Nichols Hills United Methodist Church for approximately 49 years, later transferring her membership to Chapel Hill United Methodist Church where she was a Stephens Minister, and was a greeter. Her parents, two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, E. Robert, of the home; four children from her previous marriage: Edward P. Raised in Ada, Okla., his grandparents owned Shaws Nickel Dime Store, now The Shaw Center in Ada, Okla. Mr. Shaw graduated from high school at Webb Boys School in Bell Buckle, Tenn., serving as captain of the football team and graduating cum laude. He attended the University of Oklahoma his freshman year before transferring to SMU and graduating in 1956. He was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and active in many social activities. He was a former member of Dallas Country Club where he won the flight of the President’s Cup in 1967. As a former member at Preston Trail Golf Club, he was runner up in the club championship in 1981. Upon graduating from SMU, Mr. Shaw started his business career as a stockbroker for Sneider, Bernet & Hickman, a New York Exchange Firm. After five years as a broker he entered the real estate business, first as a commercial broker, and later as a builder/developer. For the past 35 years he constructed and developed upper end residential and commercial properties in Dallas and Los Angeles. Mr. Shaw also served as executive director of new housing for the Jon Douglas Company in Los Angeles and was president of Centaur Construction Company in Los Angeles. For the past five years D Magazine has named him in the “Best Builder List” and his homes have been featured in many publications. His Dallas companies were Bent Tree Homes, Shaw & Associates and James Shaw Company. Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by his father James Lanford Shaw; mother, Ruth Shipe Shaw; son, James Edward Shaw Jr.; and daughter, Karen Ruth Shaw.
