All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Pryor Cemetery--Pryor OK Ada Evening News, Ada, OK, Pontotoc County Sunday, March 8, 2009 JIMMY BURNS Jimmy Dale Burns, 73, departed for Heaven on March 6, 2009. He was born July 31, 1935. Jimmy is reunited in Heaven with one daughter, Pamela Diana Burns, his parents, Haskell and Edna (Elms) Burns, and one brother, Dennis Ray Burns. He is survived by his wife of 53 wonderful years, Freda Mae Burns of Ada, one son, Larry Dale Burns and his wife Martha Burns of Ada, one granddaughter, Tiffany Wages of Edmond, three sisters, Rebecca Nunn of Collinsville, Beverly Chapman of Calvin, Sandra Mann of Broken Arrow, two brothers, Tommy Burns of Jenks, Ronnie Burns of Ada, along with many other relatives and friends. Jimmy was devoted to his family and enjoyed providing for them. Some of Jimmy’s fondest memories were of hunting and fishing. Jimmy was a graduate of Stuart High School and went on to receive his Certificate of Apprenticeship on August 24, 1961 through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was employed by Drummond’s Service Electric Company for 42 years. Jimmy was a member of Southwest Church of Christ and a past Elder of Central Church of Christ. The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2009 at Criswell Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Pryor Cemetery at Stuart and at Jimmy’s request family only, please. Richard Jones will officiate the service.
