Ada Evening News, Ada, OK, Pontotoc County Wednesday, June 3, 2009 VIDA GOLDEN Vida Grace Ridling Golden was born on May 29, 1922 in Muskogee, OK to James Shelby Ridling and Olivia Caudle Ridling. She passed away from a stroke at home on June 1, 2009. Vida grew up in Stratford, OK and attended country school at MeGee. She married Jesse Golden June 19, 1940 and they owned a farm near Stratford. They had one child, Brenda Joyce born August 7, 1941. Vida was a housewife and mother. In 1945 they moved to Konawa, OK. Jesse was a self-employed truck driver for 10 years before owning the Quality Materials rock plant near Sasakawa. About 1963, they moved to Ada and owned the Ada Sales and Rental business. They retired to Crossett, AR until Jesse’s death in 1990. Vida moved to Denton, TX in 1991 to be near her daughter and family. Preceding her in death were her husband of 50 years, Jesse Lewis Golden, mother, father, 4 Ridling brothers, Raymond, Lloyd, Hershell, and Don, 2 sisters, Lola Smith Robinson and Anna Clay Lierle. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Bill Mosley of Denton; grandsons, Drue and wife Cynthia of Bedford, David and wife Lucinda of Justin, and Marc Mosley of Denton; granddaughter, Krista Neeley and husband Philip of Krum; 11 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great- grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 6 -8 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Graveside service will be Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park with Philip Neeley, her grandson-in-law officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, Chris Mosley and Jabin Neeley and great-grandsons-in-law Isaac Wimberley, Jake McEntire, Caleb Wright and Paul Attaway.
