All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Resthaven Memorial Park--Shawnee OK Ada Evening News, Ada, OK, Pontotoc County Wednesday, July 29, 2009 PAUL CAMPBELL KONAWA, Okla. — Konawa resident Paul Milton, 84, went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2009, in Norman. He was born January 24, 1925, in Hazel, Okla., to Calvin and Mattie Campbell and graduated from Central High School in Seminole County. He served in the United States Army as a Sergeant with Company I 21st Infantry Regiment/ 24th Infantry Division from 1943 to 1946, receiving the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart and Victory Ribbon with two overseas Bars before his Honorable Discharge at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas, on January 29, 1946. He worked at Tinker Air Force Base, retiring after 20 years of service in 1975. He was married on September 4, 1976, to Wanda Faye Glover Townley in Konawa, where he enjoyed his farm and cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother James “Pete” Campbell . Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Faye of the home; children, Paul Monroe “Butch” Campbell and his wife Peggy of Shawnee; Steve Campbell of Springfield, Mo.; Jerry Townley and wife Teresa of Washington, Okla.; Tommy Townley and wife Karen of Moore; Patricia “Patti” Townley Gatlin and husband David of Meeker; grandchildren, Susan Beadle, Jennifer Chenoweth, Melissa Campbell, Stacey Morris, Kristi Grass, Matthew Campbell, Kyle Campbell, Shawna Johnston, Kevin Townley, Darren Townley, Thomas Townley, Chase Townley, Amber Brown and Alisha Myers; great-grandchildren, Leane Mullendore, Jackson Lawson, Michael Beadle, Jensen and Brandon Chenoweth, Kylee, Shaylee and Rylee Morris, Kamy Johnston, Gavin and Rylin Brown; one great-great-grandchild, Lyric Fobb; brother Sherman Junior Campbell and wife Audry of Shawnee; sister Carolyn Johnson and husband Stanley of Konawa; many nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving family and friends. Services Will Be 2 P.M.
