All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Ada Evening News, Ada, OK, Pontotoc County Sunday, July 19, 2009 MOUNT Donald (Irontail) Lee Mount, age 82, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 of complications from Alzheimer's disease. Don was born to Houston Browning and Lillian Faust Mount on December 8, 1926 in Ada, Oklahoma. Don received his Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Machinist's Mate Third Class on July 5, 1946. He received both his undergraduate and Masters degrees in Geology from the School of Mines at the University of Utah. Don was a fan of many things including tennis, flying airplanes, hunting, fishing, dirty jokes, and OU football. He was the consummate story teller. However, Don's true passions were his world of geology and walking his dog Tupper. He is preceded in death by his parents, H.B. and Lillian Mount; his brother, Houston Mount; sister and brother-in-law, Marcy (Mount) and Roy Alletag; fatherin-law and mother- inlaw, Vic Tucker and Robbie Roberts; and brother-in-law, Robert Tucker. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Yvonne Tucker Mount; his faithful companion "Tupper"; children Vicki M. Scott (John), Mike S. Mount (Lisa), Sara M. Colella (Steve), and Thornton D. Mount (Cea); grandchildren Travis Solcher, Tracy S. Cordell (Dave), Ryan and Victor Mount, Matthew and Clint Barbour, Olivia and Nathan Mount; great grandchildren Kyra and Cooper Cordell, Easton and Lila Barbour; and sister-in law Mrs. Betty Mount; brother-in-law James B. Tucker; numerous nieces, nephews and friends, including special family friends Carroll S. (CB) Barbour, Mrs. Fran Huddle and Mrs. Betty Laney. The family would like to give special thanks to devoted caregivers Lupe Ramos, Irma Alcazar, Mary Claudia, Olga Lopez, Maria M. Oviedo, Helen Cerda, Cindy Trevino and A-Med Hospice. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Brian Treuhaft and Dr. William "Bill" Mallott for treating our father with the respect, compassion and dignity that he deserved.
