Ada Evening News Obits March 2013 - Pontotoc County, Oklahoma Submitted by: Rita Floyd Return to Pontotoc County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/pontotoc/pontotoc.html May 2013 ===================================================================== USGENWEB NOTICE Copyright. All rights reserved. http://www.usgenweb. org ===================================================================== The Ada News, Ada, OK, Pontotoc County Friday, March 1, 2013 DOROTHY JUNE (DODGION) OPITZ ADA — Dorothy June (Dodgion) Opitz, born June 15, 1924, went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 88. Thank you to all who have enriched her life — friends acquaintances, family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren. Her favorite song was “Amazing Grace” which has now led her home to Heaven. Matthew 22:37-39 from the Bible was her guide for living a full and peaceful life. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind." "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 1 John 4-19 was another. “We love, because God first loved us.” John 3:16-17 was also a favorite: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” She loved the poem “Footprints” where the Lord says, “My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.” May God’s blessings of peace and comfort be with all of you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Ada News, Ada, OK, Pontotoc County Friday, March 1, 2013 BETTY LOU IVEY SALCEDO KONAWA — Memorial services for Betty Lou Ivey Salcedo, 83, formerly of Konawa and Vamoosa areas, will be scheduled at a later date in Ada.
