Born Jan. 1, 1929, to Marshall Leslie Sr. and Cora (Donaldson) Jamison, she spent her youth in the Ada area. After graduation from high school, she received her education degree from East Central State University. She used her training after graduation to teach school in the Ada area. She left the teaching profession and entered the business world traveling to New York City, New Mexico and Dallas, Texas. Ann also had a flair for interior design and charmed her clients with her good taste in home decor. While in Dallas, she met and married her husband of 40 years, Kale (Dick) Maddux. Ann and Dick resided in Greenville, Texas, for many years, where she was active in the Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dick; her oldest brother, Marshall Leslie Jamison; sister, Cora Merle Jamison; and youngest brother, James Jamison. At the time of her death she was a resident of the Saint Simeon Senior Community in Tulsa, where she moved to be close to her nephew and his wife, Eric and JoAnna Jamison. Other survivors include nephew Robert Jamison of Edmond, three stepdaughters and many great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, at Pinecrest Cemetery in Mena, Arkansas. Harold Ware will officiate. Burial will follow at Dougherty Cemetery. Larryn was born to Larry Bart and Terryl Ann Gibson Rayburn Feb. 17, 1981, in Ada. Larryn accepted Christ as her Savior Sept. 28, 1987. She died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015. She graduated from Ada High School in 1999. Larryn was certified as an EMT and paramedic. She had worked with the youth department at the First Baptist Church in Ada. Ina was born to her parents, James and Magie (Lee) Gardner, Feb. 4, 1922, in Clayton. Ina married the late Oliver Stonecipher in Stratford on Sept. 28, 1940. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening. Ina is survived by two sons, Johnny and wife Doris Stonecipher of Stratford, and Donald and wife Linda Stonecipher of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Brenda and husband Richard Pedersen of Cooper, Texas, and Sharon and husband Bobby Ross of Stratford; twin sister, Melvina Ballard of Pauls Valley; six grandchildren, 11 great-grand-children, two great-great-grandchildren. The Rev. Harold Ware and Mick Cowan will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. McBroom died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at Norman Regional Hospital. She was born Jan. 23, 1926, in Durant to Henry Simpson and Gladys Roling Moore. She and her family moved to Ada from Durant in 1928. She attended Hayes Elementary and graduated from Ada High School. She attended Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha and graduated from East Central University in Ada. She married Craig McBroom Aug. 29, 1946, in Ada. He preceded her in death March 9, 2003. McBroom was an elementary teacher for Ada Public Schools for 30 years. She retired in 1984. She was a member of First United Methodist Church for 50 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ada for the last 39 years of her life. He was born June 8, 1951, in Tishomingo to Carl C. Sheppard and Katherine Marie (Robertson). Harold attended Roff Public Schools and played on the state championship basketball and baseball teams during the 1967-68 season. Harold served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard from 1971 to 1977. He married Beverly Gayle (Corvin) on May 31, 1986, in Roff. Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed playing bingo and his TV remote. Harold was a loader operator for Unimin Silica Sand Company in Roff. Herring was employed as a waitress at Hamburger King and Bob’s Barbeque. She later owned and operated Broadway Beauty Shop and then was co-owner of Ada Cab Company for 35 years. She was the first female cab driver in Ada. She was then employed as a dispatcher for Call-A-Ride Transportation in Ada. Herring was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she taught an adult Sunday School class. She and Lloyd Isom were married Oct. 15, 1939. She later married Johnnie Lee Herring on Nov. 17, 1957. He died in 1987. She was born Feb. 25, 1936, in Lawton to her mother, Mattie McElroy. Margaret resided in Ada from 1936-1953, where she then moved to Kansas. She married Bob Nauni Oct. 31, 1956, in Topeka, Kansas. Margaret enjoyed working in her yard, and giving tender care to her flower gardens. She was also an avid OU fan. All sports pertaining to the University of Oklahoma she was all in. Beside her love of gardening and sports, Margaret loved her church and her grandchildren dearly as well as her dear companion, Lenny. Great joy Margaret received from attending her church in Lawton and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bob of the home; a daughter, Kathy Nauni of the home; a son, Bobby Nauni, and Mitzi Webb of Midwest City; a grandson, a granddaughter, a great-grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, longtime friends and family. Criswell Funeral Home, Ada ================================================================================================================ The Ada News, Ada, OK, Pontotoc County Wednesday, October 28, 2015 LENORA COOLEY MUSTANG — Lenora Jimmie Cooley, age 88, of Mustang, passed away Oct. 24, 2015, after a short period of declining health following a stroke. Born in Shawnee July 22, 1927, to Lacey Franklin Richmond and Maggie Manous Richmond, she was one of seven children. She attended Sulphur schools. When her parents moved to California in the Dust Bowl days, Jimmie, who was the most productive worker in the bunch, decided she was also the most “Okie.” Independent and dedicated, this hard-working waitress stayed in Oklahoma when the rest of the family finally moved West. That decision to stay in Oklahoma proved to be charmed, and she met her true love. When Dewey Cooley returned from serving in World War II, they met and married in 1947. They had two children, Ron and Brenda, and raised them in Ada. Then, in their retirement years, they moved to Mustang. Jimmie and Dewey were married for 58 years, until his death in 2005. Jimmie retired as an inspector from the Brockway Glass Plant in Ada. She also worked in various retail positions in the community and operated the café at the Ada Bowling Alley. Jimmie was a fantastic cook who also enjoyed fishing with her husband, bowling and serving others at the Mustang Senior Center. Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Tommy, Lacey Franklin, Loraine, A.W., Donald Joe, and James Edward; and her husband, Dewey. She is survived by her son, Ron (Cheryl) Cooley of Yukon, and her daughter, Brenda (Steve) Turner, of Oklahoma City. Jimmie is also survived by seven grandkids (Ron Yerby, Steve Cooley, Kristi Cooley Huelskamp, Alisa Strickland Besen, Christi Smith Garner, Chris Turner, and Doug Turner), and 12 great-grandkids. He was born June 17, 1936, to Ira William Gould and Leona Strain Gould. Darrell worked most of his life in the pipeline transportation business and was a successful businessman. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ at 32nd Street, Ada. Darrell loved his land, lake, fishing, hunting, racing, traveling and OU football, but above all was his love for his wife, “Sweet Rosa,” family, God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents. Darrell is survived by Rosa Edna Hicks Gould, his wife of 61 years, of the home; and three children, daughter Terri Gould Phillips and husband Jim, of Ada, daughter Dahlra Gould Campbell and husband Clayton, of Ada, and son Troy Gould and wife Doris, of Bokoshe. Darrell leaves behind 11 grandchildren, Jason Lorenz and wife Brandy of Ada; Lori and husband Chris London of Ada; Courtney Hunter; Megan Hunter of Ada; Zach Campbell and wife Michelle of Norman; Tisha and husband Matthew Denton of Avondale, Arizona; Barbara Gould of Purcell; Christina and husband Josh Melton of Sherman, Texas; William “Willy” Gould and wife Laura of Spring Lake, North Carolina; Steven Silva of Oklahoma City and Steffani Silva of Norman; 23 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters in Christ, plus family and friends who will miss him greatly. Mrs. Woolley passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at her daughter’s home in Shawnee. She was born Sept. 20, 1933, at Watonga to L.B. and Thelma Arnold Schaffer. She lived in this area most of her life and attended Ada schools. She married Robert D. “Bob” Woolley on Aug. 7, 1978. Mrs. Woolley was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ada. Her husband, Bob Woolley, was co-owner of Ada Auto in Ada for many years. He was born Oct. 22, 1960, in Holdenville to Harold and Peggy Merriman. He attended Atwood schools and later transferred and graduated from Allen High School. Roger joined his parents in their family farm business, where he enjoyed his life on the ranch working with his cattle. He also liked to go fishing and hunting, but he was known for his love of team roping and catfishing. He is preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include his dogs, Rex and Buster; his brothers Harold Bruce Merriman and wife Lori of Allen, and Chris Merriman and wife Sherry of Allen; nieces and nephews Kaitlyn, Shelby, Jessica and Hoot; as well as several aunts and uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service has been scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at the First Baptist Church in Allen. The Rev. Buddy Drake and Chad Kaminski will officiate. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at Vamoosa Baptist Church, located east of Konawa. Richard Winters will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Pallbearers are Greg Fry, Steven Fry, Chris Sharp, Darin Sharp, Todd Harris, Terry Harris and Rick Husted. Floyd was born Aug. 21, 1932, in Sasakwa to Floyd William Clayton and Racheal Lucille (Walston) Clayton. He graduated from Vamoosa High School in 1949, and he married Katherine Clayton Gorczyca (Pruitt) on May 29, 1975, in Konawa. Floyd was an aircraft inspector for Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, and he was also an Air Force veteran. He enjoyed working his cattle and horses, roping and fishing. He was a member of the Vamoosa Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Mickey Clayton and wife, Heather of Pryor; one stepson, Jack Gorczyca and wife, Patty of Harrah; one daughter, Shari Tompkins and husband, Bobby of Newcastle; four sisters, Shirley Spence of Oklahoma City, Sue Roulston and husband, Grayson of Oklahoma City, Lou Nell Wilson of Konawa and Retta Gilbert and husband, Otis of Konawa; two grandchildren, Cooper Clayton and Carson Clayton; and one step-grandson, Thad Gorczyca. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd William Clayton and Rachael Lucille Clayton, and his wife, Katherine Clayton.
