She was born January 5, 1963, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Maureen and Clive Davey. Dawn loved to travel and had visited forty-seven of the lower forty-eight states, along with Hawaii. She also traveled abroad and had the opportunity to visit Australia, Canada, Mexico and England. Dawn was passionate about cooking and enjoyed entertaining friends and family. She had many hobbies, some of which included interior decorating and crafting. Her artistic flair was one of her trademarks. She adored her loving animals. Dawn is preceded in death by her mother, Maureen Davey; father-in-law, Amos Summers; and brother-in-law Dwayne Summers. Mr. Nester was a mechanic and later retired as the shop superintendent at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Mr. Nester served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1946-1947. Mr. Christian died Monday, March 2, 2015, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Dec. 30, 1945, in Ada to Coe Edward and Mary Marie Andrews Christian. He graduated from Byng High School in 1964 and received a bachelor?s degree in physical ducation and math from East Central University in 1970. He married Debbie Deaton June 9, 1972, at the Lovelady Baptist Church. Mr. Christian began his working career in May 1970 as a math instructor and baseball, basketball and swimming coach at Byng High School. In December, 1973, he went to work for the Department of the Army (the Oklahoma National Guard). He managed the Officer Education Program. From January 1977 to June 1979, he served as the field service officer, responsible for planning and executing all support missions to support 15,000 troops. From June 1979 to February 1985, he served as the company commander, field service officer, personnel officer and later training technician. In November 1985, he was the administrative officer, overseeing and managing all operations of a battalion with 540 part-time and 50 full-time personnel. From December 1974 to December 1980, Mr. Christian was a co-partner of CRC Specialty Company, which was an advertising company and the co-owner of Action Real Estate. He was the owner of Christians Distributors, a wholesale/retail operation for over 2,000 products, 4-J Cutting Horses, Action Plastics Company and C & M Consultants. From 1986 until the current time, he was the owner of Ada Tag Agency. Mr. Christian was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Ada and Lovelady Baptist Church. Currently, he was a Charter member and chairman of the board of Crosscut Cowboy Church. He was the president of the local National Wild Turkey Board and also a state board member. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association. Formerly, he served as the president of the State Coaches Association from 1972-1973, vice president of Optimist Club from 1974-1976, a member of the National Cutting Horse Association, a member of the Quarter Horse Association and a member of the Professional Negotiators Association. Mr. Christian had served on the Byng School Board and the Cowboy Crisis Fund. Survivors include his wife Debbie, of the home; two daughters, Dara Christian of Byng and Jerica Reed and her husband Thomas of Byng; his father, Edward Christian of Ada; two grandchildren, Cody Reed and Dylan Reed; four brothers, Eddie Christian, Byng, John Christian, Francis, Larry Christian, Stonewall, and Wayne Christian, Ada; a sister, Linda Marie Thompson, Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, James Christian. Preceded in death by his parents; Brooks R. Gall and Mildred Love Bolton. David was born in Ada, Oklahoma, and was senior class president, drum major, and a member of the tennis team at Ada High School. He attended Marion Military Institute and in 1952 enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Hawaii. After the service, he attended Oklahoma State University, was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and graduated in 1957. He then began his long and rewarding career with OI Brockway Glass Company. In 1958, he married Sherry and was blessed with his beloved wife of 55 years. David was a long time member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church where he made many cherished friends, was active in the choir, and directed the college Sunday school department. He was an avid tennis player from early in his childhood until late in his 70s and was known to play tennis sometimes three days a week. David was known as a kind, thoughtful, and genteel man who always put his wife and children first. He never missed an event with his children or grandchildren, as he viewed those times as so very special. David is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sherry Lee Gall; two children, David Craig Gall (Fran) of Birmingham, AL, and Becky Gall Murphy (Charlie) of Houston, TX; three grandchildren, David Winthrop Gall II (his namesake), Amy Kathleen Gall and Joseph Craig Gall; and also his beloved furry "little buddy," Duke. Although gone from this earth, he leaves behind a legacy and example of what a man should be and how he should live. He is dearly missed by all who knew and loved him, but we take comfort in the fact that he is now truly "fine." Remembrances to: Big Oak Ranch. She worked as a registered nurse and certified infection control nurse at Valley View Hospital in Ada for many years. She married Marshall Lee Burrell in 1963 and had two sons, Michael and Brian. Mrs. Burrell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and infant brother, Michael. She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Michelle of Mustang and Brian and Karyn of Vero Beach, Forida. Burial will follow at the Lenna Cemetery. Mr. Lancaster died Friday, March 6, 2015, at the St. John Medical Center of Tulsa. He was born Oct. 30, 1957, in Ada to Ernest James and Nova Dallas (Johns) Lancaster. He graduated from Vanoss High School in 1975. On April 5, 1980, he married Carolyn Sue Zachary at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Ada. He worked at Brockway Glass in Ada for 13 and a half years. When Brockway closed the plant in October of 1991, Elton was hired by Anchor Glass in Henryetta in December 1991 and was still working there when he died. Mr. Lancaster is survived by his wife, Carolyn, of the home; his mother, Nova Lancaster; his daughters, Jessica Dallas Lancaster and Isaac Thornton of Eufaula and Elaine Marie Lancaster also of Eufaula; his nephew, Eric Lancaster and wife Katie and son Everett; his niece, Rebecca Meyers and children Emalie, Sara and Kenadie and his niece Truly Nipps and husband Jared and children Trenton and Julia; his sisters, Elizabeth Lancaster of Eufaula, Frances Jane Lancaster of Eufaula and Vickie Golden and husband Gary of Ada. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest James Lancaster Feb. 9, 2006. Bearers are James Lacquement, Rick Been, Terry Harelson, Billy Peaver, Roger Lancaster and Chuck Lancaster. She was born to the late Robert and Carolyn Hunt on Feb. 10, 1938, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She grew up on Lookout Mountain and graduated from Girls Preparatory School in 1956. While living in Ada, she earned a master?s degree from East Central University. Ms. Roberts was a teacher for over 30 years to many students in Florida, Georgia and Oklahoma. She was voted Teacher of the Year by the children and faculty of Ardmore Middle School. She read her Bible daily. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ardmore, where she taught children?s Sunday school and vacation Bible school. She grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Dolgeville High School in Dolgeville, New York, in 1948. She married Wilfred ?Bill? Leslie Jorrey on Nov. 23, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2009. She completed her nursing degree from Crouse-Irving Hospital, Syracuse, New York, in 1951. After becoming a registered nurse, she became the school nurse in Rockwall, Texas, for many years. Survivors include a daughter, Valerie Cope and husband Bennie of Ada; three sons, Kevin Jorrey and wife Debbie of Carrollton, Texas, Scott Jorrey and wife Trisha of Garland, Texas, and Mark Jorrey and wife Anginette of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Theodore E.
