Submitted by Rita Floyd. -------------------------------------------------------- Friday, March 28, 2003 BOBBY WAYNE CRAVENS Born in Konawa, Okla., on June 8, 1936. Died at home in Oklahoma City on March 25, 2003. Preceded in death by his parents R.C. Cravens, 1967, and Opal Cravens, 2002. A retired commodities broker from Barnes Brokerage in Edmond and a life-long tennis player, he was married to Linda Dishman Cravens for 33 years and had two children: Robin Renee Cravens, 31, of Tulsa, and Robert Charlie Cravens, 29, of Oklahoma City. He is survived by one brother, Dean Cravens and his wife, Linda Sue, Oklahoma City; his aunt, Gladys Lankford, Oklahoma City; one niece, Stephanie Cravens, Los Angeles, Calif., and nephews, Tom Cravens Oklahoma City, Chris Dishman, Headrick; mother-in-law, Juanita Dishman, Altus, Okla., and one special aunt by marriage, Dovie Dishman, also of Altus. He leaves behind many cousins and long- time friends. Bob was known for his good spirit, his generosity and sense of humor and was a beloved father and husband. It was often said that he "never knew a stranger." He continued to keep up these spirits while enduring a long fight to overcome a series of health conditions that plagues his last seven years of life. He is finally at peace. He will be missed. Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Vondel Smith and Son, 131st and N. MacArthur Blvd. A graveside service will follow at Konawa Cemetery at 2 p.m.
