She lived in Murray County all of her life and graduated from Sulphur High School in 1966. She graduated as salutatorian of the 1977 graduating class of Southern Oklahoma Technology Center licensed practical nurses program. She married Jerry Brown Oct. 29, 1966, at Sulphur. Mrs. Brown was a licensed practical nurse and was affiliated with First Christian Church. She was a member of AMPI Ladies Auxiliary and was the first female delegate to the National Convention for Associate Milk Producers. She was preceded in death by an infant son. Mr. Freeman married Crucina Lansford Aug. 4, 1970, at Muskogee. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired educator, and had taught and coached in Fort Worth, Texas, and Broken Arrow. He also taught geography at Tulsa Community College. After retiring from education, he and his wife established an antique store in Tulsa. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Crucina Freeman, Tulsa; and a daughter, Lynnlee Ann Freeman, Tulsa. Mrs. Wolnik was retired from Waters True Value and was working as the lunch mom at Westwood Elementary School. She was a member of Episcopal Church of the Covenant. He was born Nov. 2, 1906, in Oklahoma Territory, near what is now Lamont, to Henry Himiller and Anna E. Ridings Martin. He attended school at Lamont. Following his high school graduation he attended Oklahoma A&M at Stillwater. He married Gladys Amelia Wolffrum Dec. 25, 1929. Mr. Martin taught in rural Grant County for seven years. He was also a farmer. In 1944, he moved his family to Ponca City where he worked for Continental Oil Company. He served as a security officer during wartime and worked in the light oil treater and oil trap pumper progression unit. He served as treasurer and secretary/treasurer for the independent oil workers bargaining unit from 1951-1966. In November 1966 he was promoted to transfer clerk in the refinery personnel office, a position that included being editor of the refinery newsletter "The Grapevine." He retired in 1971. He was preceded in death by a son, Lester Leo Martin; and wives, Gladys Martin in 1987 and Bessie Martin, Jan. 30, 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Delores Moore, Ponca City; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was born Nov. 29, 1915, at Allen, to Louis Burk and Ella Lenore Pogue Adams. She came to this area in 1991 from Tulsa. She graduated from Oklahoma State University. Her family was the owner and operators of Adams Lumber Company in Ada and Allen. She was active in the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church in Tulsa. She and Fred Manton were married Oct. 3, 1937, at Ada. He died Aug. 3, 1993, at Ada. She and her husband were members of the Ada Hobos Club for several years. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Thompson, Ada, and Carol Pohyl, Berthoud, Colo.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
