Date of editions are given at beginning of each section. -------------------------------------------------------- Ada Evening News Paid Obituaries -------------------------------------------------------- Tuesday, November 04, 2003 JAMES DeLONAIS Sacred Heart resident James Leo DeLonais, 69, departed from this life on November 2, 2003 in Norman Regional Hospital. Mr. DeLonais was born March 26, 1934 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was the son of William Bernard DeLonais, Sr and Grace Elizabeth Higdon. He attended Maud High School. He married Norma Dene Boyce on October 8, 1953 and had four children. He worked most of his life as an Industrial Electrician for OG&E, Zachary Construction, and Flour Daniels Construction. He retired from Flour Daniels Construction in 1998. His favorite pastimes were visiting his family and friends and landscaping his yard. He was the fourth generation to live in the Sacred Heart area. He is survived by four children, Kathy Lowry and husband Tim of Konawa, Oklahoma; Debbie Walston and husband John of Ada, Oklahoma; Jim DeLonais, Jr. and wife Cathy of Houston, Texas; and Toni Elkins and husband David of Ada, Oklahoma; and the mother of his children, Norma DeLonais of Konawa; 11 Grandchildren, Renee Fallis Conley, Jeremy Fallis, Michelle Lowry Jesse, Melissa Lowry Wilson, Jason Lowry, Michael Elkins, Matthew Elkins, Mark Elkins, Alicia DeLonais, Ashley DeLonais and James Leo DeLonais III (Trey); and four great- grandchildren that he said had made him great 4 times over--Mikala & Mikinley Wilson, Colten Jesse and Isabelle Conley; one brother, Loyd DeLonais and wife Bobbie of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and one sister, Betty Daniels of Roseville, California; a number of cousins, nieces and nephews, and a countless number of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William DeLonais, Sr. in 1979, Grace DeLonais in 1973; and one brother, William DeLonais, Jr. in 1977. Pall bearers will be his six grandsons and Honorary Pall bearers will be Jim Eischeid, Jason Conley, Todd Jesse and Marty Wilson. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4th at Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa. Father Matthew Brown OSB will perform Mass at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 5th at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Potawatomi Cemetery where he will be buried next to his Great-Grandfather, John Shopwatuck. Services are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa. - Paid Obituary -
