Date of editions are given at beginning of each section. -------------------------------------------------------- Ada Evening News Paid Obituaries -------------------------------------------------------- Sunday, December 7, 2003 JIM NEAL DULANEY Jim Neal Dulaney was born June 1st, 1927, in WIchita Falls,TX, the second son of Dell Jerry Dulaney and Oda Beare Dulaney. Jim graduated high school in Chickasha, Ok. in 1945 and attended East Central State College in Ada Ok. In 1949 he married Phyllis Moye Dean, daughter of Wade and Atha Dean of Ada. They raised 3 children: Jimmie, 1951-1989 of Elkhart In., Michael of Austin, TX., and Steven, of Dickenson, Tx.. Phyllis passed away in 1982. His older brother, Jack (Lucky) of Hobbs N.M. predeceased him in 1994. In 1950, Jim joined Halliburton Oil Well Cementing Company and remained with Halliburton until his retirement in 1986. Halliburton assignments included, Oklahoma, Austria, Libya, Nigeria, Singapore and Houston. From 1970 to his retirement, Jim worked as Halliburton's International Division's representative to the oil industry in Houston. He was active in the Houston Chapter of "NOMADS," the National Oil-Equipment Manufacturers And Delegates Society serving in all capacities, including President in 1982 and was always prominent in the International Hospitality Center at Houston's annual Offshore Technology Conference. On the 23rd of March, 1984, he married Melba Day Gibson. They retired to Huntsville, Tx soon after where Jim gardened and fished the nearby Trinity River and Lake Livingston. After Melba lost her long battle with cancer in 1997, Jim lived with his son Steven for 4 years in Galveston and finally succumbed to complications due to Alzheimer's Disease in Austin Tx. in 2003. Friends are welcome to join with his family for a graveside remembrance at the Concord Cemetery, N.W. of Bedias, Tx (between College Station and Huntsville) at 2:00 P. M. on December 10th. Instead of flower memorials, the family suggests a gesture of support for your local Alzheimer's Association.
