Walker was born to Dean and Charlie Walker April 16, 1925 in Allen, Oklahoma. Colonel Walker served his country in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corp in France, Germany, and England. He served also, as Regimental Intelligence Officer in Hokkaido and Korea until 1952. He commanded the 3rd Battalion, 13th Artillery in Hawaii and Cu Chi, Vietnam 1964 - 1966. He served as Professor of Military Science at the University of Oklahoma, 1974-1976. From 1976 to 1978 he served as Chief of the U.S. Joint Military Advisory Group to Thailand. He retired from the U.S. Army in October 1979. His awards include four Legions of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, three Air Medals, Meritorious Service Medal, and the Oklahoma Meritorious Service Medal. Aaron was a graduate of the Advanced Infantry Officers Course at Fort Benning, Georgia, the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and the Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. He received his BS in Physics and Math from East Central State, Ada, Oklahoma and MBA from the University of Alabama in Economics, and Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Oklahoma, and was a registered CPA in Oklahoma. He was married to Betty Kidwell Walker, also of Allen. One son, David preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and four sons, Philip, and his wife, Sue of Fort Collins, Colorado; Bruce and his wife Stephanie of Satellite Beach, Florida; Stanley and his wife Waynette of Flower Mound, Texas; Steven and his wife Jill of Norman, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren, Angela, Jason, Eric, Geneva, Courtney, Chelsey, Charlie, Chynna, Bailey, Joe, Graham, Nathan, and one great-grandchild, Aryana. Military Honors and interment will be Friday, November 7th at 2 p.m. at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.
