KEOKUK CEMETERY north of Seminole, OK and east of Hwy 99. This cemetery is located in Pottawatomie County. Names were recorded on May 26, 2003 by Julie McDonald, a descendant of DuBoise/Holley/Grall ancestors. I was told by others who know the history of that area that the cemetery has not always been fenced in or secured and cows have kicked over and broken some stones. Also brushhogging had ruined many stones. Many ancestors were buried with no or very little marking and the information below was gathered to the best of my ability. The written records for this cemetery were lost in a house fire. I understand that Alma Watkins and Margie Harris who live in that area may be the ones trying to take care of the cemetery. There is a house near the first gate and that should be the property owner. ALL NAMES AND DATES ARE IN CAPS, any phrases or sentiments on stones are in "quotes " Notes about placement, etc are in lower case. Starting on the north side, stones that are readable are as follows: MRS. H.S. HOLLEY 1883-1915 JOHN W.C.
