Roy Boyer

Roy Boyer, 86, formerly of Amarillo died Friday, April 9, 2004.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel 
of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Mr. Boyer was born Feb. 4, 1918, in Shawnee, Okla. He began working for 
the gas company in Oklahoma City reading meters. He retired at age 65 as 
head accountant at Pioneer Natural Gas in Amarillo in 1983.

He and his wife, Evelyn, were members of Southwest Church of Christ in 
Amarillo for many years. He resided in Houston with his daughter, 
Jeanette, and son-in-law since September 1994.

Survivors include his children, Jeanette Wren and husband, Thelton, of 
Houston, Vanlyn Ray and husband, Dusty, of Oklahoma, Janlyn Mahlman of 
Denver and Mike Lyons and wife, Sue, of Amarillo; six grandchildren, 
Johnny Wren, Kelly Wren, Fonda Mancina, Robin Clements, Tosh Lyons and 
Kiley Lyons; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
