Ray S. Chastain

GRAHAM - Ray S. Chastain, 86, died Monday, Dec. 22, 1997, at Wichita 
Falls.

Services were Dec. 24 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. James C. Hill, 
pastor and the Rev. Edgar Jones of Graham officiating. Burial was in 
Pioneer Cemetery at Graham by Morrison Funeral Home.

Mr. Chastain was born in Tecumseh, Okla. He moved to Graham in 1970 from 
Lefors. He was a retired dirt contractor. He was a member of First Baptist 
Church, Young County Masonic Lodge 485 AF&AM, was a 32nd degree Mason and 
a member of the YAHA Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.

He married Margaret Buckingham in 1936 at Clovis, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Margie Owen of Breckenridge and 
Barbara Sullivan of Coldspring; a sister, Mitch Kuehler of Panhandle; 
eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-
grandchildren.
