Cline Jr. PLAINVIEW - C.B. Cline Jr., 67, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday in Lemons Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church Chapel with the Rev. R.L. Kirk, pastor of St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Amarillo, and the Rev. Tim Schwertner, pastor of St. Alice Catholic Church in Plainview, officiating. Cremation was by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Cline was born in Shawnee, Okla., and was raised in Plainview. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1948. He served in the National Guard and retired as a major. He worked for Hail Shoe Store and Goodyear. In 1954, he began working with his father at Cline Monument Co. He operated the business until retiring in 1990. Mr. Cline was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church and a Past Master and charter member of Arch Keys Masonic Lodge. He served on the city council for three terms. Survivors include four daughters, Sharlyn Martin of Hawkins, Nanette Holley of Plainview, Jana Cline of Tucson, Ariz., and Melissa Butler of Pearland; a son, C.B. "Trey" Cline III of Plainview; his mother, Mae Cline of Plainview; two brothers, Paul Cline of Brownwood and John Cline of Snyder; and 10 grandchildren.
