All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Vondel L Smith & Son FH--OKC OK Cordell, Margaret Kay "Peggy" Margaret 'Peggy' Kay, devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the age of 63. She was born August 2, 1939 in Creston, Iowa. She moved to Shawnee, OK at a young age where she attended the First Christian Church of Shawnee and was the first member to be baptized there. Peggy attended Shawnee High School where she was active in many programs and served as President in the future Nurses of America club. She graduated in 1958, when she became a resident of OKC, working for Southwestern Bell for 23 years. She was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of Hillcrest Christian Church of OKC for many years. Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Ray King, mother, Margaret Kay King, both long time residents of Shawnee, and an infant son, Michael Carey Yoscak. She is survived by her husband Jessie Cecil Cordell, retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant; son, Steven Ray Yoscak, Major in the OKC Fire Dept., and a father of two; daughter, Phyllis Fay Crim, mother of six, and daughter Annette Gail Powell, wife of David and mother of two, all of OKC; one stepson, Michael J. Cordell, husband to Terri; two step- daughters, Anne P. Crawshaw and Christa Y. Aldridge, wife to Buddy: She also has 10 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and four great- grandchildren all of whom she was exceptionally proud. She also had 10 brothers and sisters-in law. Peggy loved to spend time with her family and friends, cooking large meals for every holiday and birthday occasions. She also enjoyed working in her garden and numerous church activities. She was the chairman of the evangelism committee, a member of CWF and also enjoyed singing in the choir. Peggy was an exceptional lady and was loved by all. She will be greatly missed. Peggy's funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, Dec. 26 at Vondel Smith South. VONDEL L. SMITH & SON MORTUARY 6934 S.
