Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 14, at Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh. Services are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home. Mr. Ellenberger was born July 16, 1925, in Germany to Adolph and Adele’ Ellenberger. His family immigrated to the United States in 1926 and settled in Los Angeles County, California. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. In December 1966, he married Alice Lee Alexander in Orange County, California. Mr. Ellenberger was a photographer, jewelry designer, business owner and tool and die maker. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1989. He was a former member of Toastmasters, Carbide Engineers and past president of the Delvers Gem and Mineral Society. Survivors include his wife, Alice, of the home; daughters, Christine Mason of Medford, Ore., Alice Frederick of Shawnee, Barbara Howe of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Kaye Griffin of Winslow, Ark.; son, Wayne Griffin of Enid; twin brother, Albert Ellenberger of Sun City, Ariz.; a sister, Linda Jackson of Tucson, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends including Lizzie. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Pottawatomie County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/pottawatomie/pottawatomie.htm
