J.W. Gibner

SPEARMAN - J.W. "Woody" Gibner, 80, died Tuesday, March 10, 1998.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with 
the Rev. Ken Cole, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hansford 
Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Gibner was born in Hansford and had been a lifetime Hansford area 
resident. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He married Lois Pryor in 1939 at Shawnee, Okla.

Mr. Gibner was vice president of First State Bank in Spearman for 43 years 
before retiring in 1983. He was a member of First United Methodist Church 
and the Spearman Lions Club. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of 
Hansford Lodge No. 1040 AF&AM.

He was preceded in death by a son, George Thomas Gibner.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Lynn Gibner of Portland, Ore; three 
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
