Dorothy Henry

PLAINVIEW - Dorothy Henry, 77, died Thursday, April 17, 1997.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church 
Sanctuary with Dr. Max Browning, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in 
Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Henry was born in Tecumseh, Okla. She grew up in Quitaque and 
graduated from Quitaque High School. She married Myrett Henry in 1937 at 
Plainview. They moved to Wellington and then to Jackson, Miss., in 1951. 
They moved to Plainview in 1954.
Her husband died in 1995.

She helped start the Henry Tire Co. with her husband. She was a member of 
First United Methodist Church, the Harmony Sunday School Class, United 
Methodist Women, the Altrusa Garden Club, Good Sams Travel Club, the 
Senior Citizens and Meals on Wheels. She also was a Girl Scout leader and 
a Band Parent.

Survivors include four daughters, Peggy Hellerstein of Houston, Joann 
Gaston of Sudan, and Betty Gouldy and Barbara Lambert, both of Plainview; 
five brothers, Charles Keisling of Plainview, Harold Keisling of Dumas, 
Delmer Keisling of Sunray, James Keisling of Hobbs, N.M., and Walter 
Keisling of Dumas; a sister, Margaret Mayhall of Moore, Okla.; 10 
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to the Senior Citizens Center, 1007 
Smythe, Plainview, Texas 79072; Meals on Wheels, 411 N. Beech, Plainview, 
Texas 79072; or First United Methodist Church, 1001 W. 7th, Plainview, 
Texas 79072.
