All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Skyview Memorial Lawn Cemetery--Vallejo CA Kelly, Betty Lou June 10, 1925 - Dec. 2, 2006 Betty Lou Kelly, 81, of Vallejo passed away on Dec. 2, 2006, at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo, surrounded by family, after a long and courageous battler with cancer. She was born in Wanette, Okla., on June 10, 1925, to the late Doyle and Ruth Carmichael. Her husband of 59 years, George J. Kelly, preceeded her in death on Jan. 5, 2004. She leaves behind her brothers, Doyle E. Carmichael and William DeMaestre, of Orinda; daughters, Linda S. Quayle and Patricia A. (Thomas) Morris of Vallejo; six grandchildren, David E. Donato of Ohio and Kari Ann Nyemaster, Michael Joseph Nyemaster and Gregory Paul Nyemaster of Vallejo, and Kelly M. Frame and Jennifer M. Frame of League City, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Bridgette Donato of Pinole and Giovanni Donato of Ohio. She was preceeded in death by grandson William Matthew Nyemaster in 1977. She graduated from Wanette High School at the age of 17. Her family moved from Oklahoma to Benicia, Calif., where she met and married her late husband while working as a secretary at Benicia Arsenal. He was in the U.S. Army, stationed there. She worked for Doyle's Workshop as a weaver and later at Crestwood Manor as the medical records supervisor, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Vallejo Gateway Chapter No. 3, Order of Eastern Star. She loved playing cards, camping at Lake of the Spring with her family and friends, gambling at CalNeva in Reno, watching Nascar and Jeff Gordon, and the many wonderful cruises she went on with her family and friends. Viewing will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Skyview Memorial Lawn, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Skyview Memorial Lawn, conducted by Vallejo Gateway Chapter No. 3, OES. Contributions may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817; or to the American Cancer Society.
