Lewis, Robert "Bob"  

Robert 'Bob' Lewis, 74, of Shawnee, OK, died Friday, August 16, 2002. 
Graveside services 10:00 a.m. Wed., August 21, 2002 at Resthaven Memorial 
Park Trinity Chapel with Rev. Delbert Akin officiating. Under the 
direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Shawnee. Born August 29, 1927 in 
Bennington, OK to W.A. 'Bud' Lewis and Ava Francis (Caughy) Lewis. He grew 
up and attended school in the Bennington and Jackson, OK communities. He 
was a retired electrician. He had worked as an electrician for L.D. 
Hallman for approximately 8 years. He later worked for IBEW Union #1141 
for 20 years, retiring in 1993. He also worked for Rocket Freight Lines 
for approximately 3 years as a truck driver. He was married to Martha 
'Markee' Lee Stephenson. After her death, he later married Shirley Lewis 
in Durant, OK on November 7, 1998. He was an U.S. Army veteran serving 
during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany and attained the rank 
of Staff Sergeant. He was a 20 year member of the IBEW, Local Union #1141. 
He was a member of the Pentecostal faith. Early in life he served as a 
scoutmaster with Boy Scouts of America. He had lived in the Shawnee area 
since 1970. He was an avid fisherman and loved to bowl frequently. 
Survived by his wife, Shirley Lewis, of the home; 2 sons & daughter-in-
law, Bobby Lewis of Chandler, Billy Lewis & Cherie Lewis of Meeker; 3 
stepsons, Joe Parker of Shawnee, Robert Parker & wife Gail of Thomas, OK, 
Tony Parker & wife Peggy of Yukon; 1 step-daughter, Patti Bade & husband 
David of Shawnee; 4 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren; brother & 
sister-in-law, Grady & Wanda Lewis, Colera, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, 
cousins and many loving friends. Preceded by his mother & father; his 
first wife, Markee Lewis; 5 brothers, Albert Lewis, Audra Lewis, twin 
brother L.B. Lewis, Floyd Lewis and Lloyd Lewis; 3 sisters, Clare, Gerthy, 
and Bertha.
