All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Siskiyou Memorial Park--Medford OR Mail Tribune Oct 17, 2006 Lawrence Nathan Latham Feb. 14, 1906~Oct. 14, 2006 Lawrence Latham died Saturday, October 14th, at the age of 100 plus 8 months, at his home in White City, surrounded by his family. He was born as a twin on a farm in Hollis, Oklahoma on February 14, 1906, one of 13 children. As a child, he traveled west by covered wagon and had seen many, many changes during his lifetime. He married Ruby Rickman (Dec. 5, 1912~April 20, 1992) on March 18, 1929, in Harjo, Okla. He spent his career as a farmer, mostly driving a fertilizer tractor. That carried over into home gardening that he enjoyed for many years. A memorial service for both Lawrence and Ruby will be held Friday, October 20th at 1 p.m. at Siskiyou Memorial Park, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd. in Medford, as they are laid to rest together forever. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Rickman Latham; twin, Lonnie Latham, Okla.; daughter, Bonnie Flores, Mo.; his parents; and all but two siblings, Ruby Williams of Oklahoma and Gertrude Schmitz of New Mexico. Survivors include his daughters, Doris Millard of Central Point, Melvina Humphreys of Hathorne, Nev.; sons, Willard Latham of Fremont, Calif. and Lonnie Latham of Cape Coral, Fla.; 12 of his 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great- grandchildren. His playful and charming personality along with his sparkling blue eyes, magnetic smile and signature cowboy hat will be missed by all who knew him.
