John S. Lyle

ALAMOGORDO, N.M. - John S. Lyle, 85, died Wednesday, April 2, 1997.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. 
Rondal L. Killgore officiating. Burial will be in Monte Vista Cemetery by 
Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.

Mr. Lyle was born in McLoud, Okla. He was an engineer in the oil industry 
for Cabot Corporation at Pampa, Texas, before retiring in 1975. He moved 
to Alamogordo in 1987. He was an artist and a member of the Artist Guild 
and First Baptist Church.

His wife, Inez A., died in 1980.
Survivors include three daughters, Kay Fisher of Alamogordo, Judy Friend 
of Midland, Texas, and Linda Flippo of Artesia; a son, John S. Lyle Jr. of 
Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
