Langley, 64, of Shawnee, died Tues., August 6, 2002. Services Fri., August 9, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with Rev. John Lively and Rev. Janie Kirt Morris officiating. Under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel, Shawnee. Born December 17, 1937 in Enid, OK to O.B. & Buna L. Langley. Graduated from Norman High School in 1955. Owner of Langley Management Co. in Shawnee, OK. Married Nancy J. Wallace on Dec. 21, 1956. Served 8 years in the US Naval Reserve. Member of McAlester Jaycees, McAlester Optimist Club, Masonic Blue Lodge 196, McAlester; 32nd Degree Mason Consistory McAlester; Mayor of City of Wewoka, while participating in numerous groups through the Episcopal Church. Began in the finance business 44 years ago, owning his own finance business for the past 28 years, now operating in 6 states. In between those years he was a rancher of registered Charolais cattle for approximately 6 years. He enjoyed boating on numerous Oklahoma lakes, especially Lake Texoma & had traveled the inter-coastal waterways the past 5 years. He was an avid Sooner sports & Dallas Cowboys fan. Preceded in death by father, O.B. Langley and a sister Barcia A. Grissom. Survived by mother, Buna L. Langley, Pawhuska, OK; wife, Nancy J. Langley, Shawnee, OK; son & his wife, Michael G. & Dana C. Langley, Shawnee, OK; daughter, Patricia J. Smith, Shawnee, OK; sister & her husband, Barbara A. & Dick McVey, Pawhuska, OK; 5 grandsons: Bret Smith, Gregory Smith, Taylor Langley, Phillip Langley & Daniel Langley. Several nieces & nephews. Memorials may be made to the local chapter of the Salvation Army or Emmanuel Episcopal Endowment Fund.
